Marcus walked into his room at the Inn in Moonglow and feel down on the bed. He began to rub his temples as he lay there thinking. Tonight had been a productive night but now he must decide which of the two people who met him tonight to hire. On one hand there was the rough looking gentleman and on the other there was the fine looking lady that had visited him after the gentleman had left. Both said they could get the job done and in very different ways it would seem. Sittin up on the bed Marcus put his head in his hands and began to mediate..after awhile he stoped got up and made his way to his desk.

Once there he took out a piece of paper and began to write..

Greetings m'lord,

I have decided that your fee's for the job will be well enough suited for the job I have for you and would like to hire you for the job. Now seeing as I distest this thief I would like to see justice given to him..I wish for you to serverly wound him enough that he wont make any noise for awhile. Perhaps a bump on the head hard enough for him to have a mild case of memory loss? Now as to where you can find the mark. I have good word he will arrive in the City on the morrow during the eighth hour past the noon day sun. He is to arrive at the docks in Moonglow..you'll be able to recongize him off the bat..slender looking fellow wearing a white robe never leaves without the robe on. Soon as you have done the job I can be found at the Inn in Moonglow. Once I have the gem in my hands I shall make payment of what is promised. Now if in some way you cant do this job please let me know so I can hire another before this thief makes land after that I shall not knwo where he will go next. I await your word of the acceptance of this job till then may the winds bring you swift sailing..

Signed:
Marcus Leonhart

After finishing with the letter Marcus rolled it up and then got up and made his way to the inn's desk.. He then gave the letter to the inn keeper and told him to have it delievered to the docks to a shop called the Black Crow. He then paid the man some gold and made his way back to his room. Once there he made his way to his bed and laid down. Smiling softly he leaned over and blew out the candle in the room, then closed his eyes and difted off into a dreamless sleep.

Jon jumped at the opportunity to earn some extra gold and was quite elated to recieve the message. He purchased a disguise and lay in wait for his quarry. The elf showed exactly when the old man said he would, dressed as described. Jon approached and asked for the gem. At first the man played dumb and Jon wondered if he had missed the mark but he kept babbling and revealed he was indeed the target. "I am here to releave you of the stone you carry" Jon said again. The elf stared, claimed it would have to be taken by force and drew his bow to late. Jon seeing the man reach for his wepon, unsheathed his sword and brought it down on the elf. Looking around and seeing no witnesses Jon quickly relieved the body of the item and stole all the other goods off the corpse, dragged it to the edge of the dock then shoved it into the water. He then rode to the inn where the old man was waiting and collected his bounty.

Marcus smiled widely as the pirate he hired left the Inn. He knew he was lucky that someone that knew nothing of magic actually took interest in the job a mage would have been able to tell how powerful and the gem was and that it was worth more then 20,000 crowns of gold. Putting the gem in the pouch on his robe he then made his way to his room. Once there he walked over to the desk in his room and set down. Untying the pouch from his robe he then opened the pouch and laid the three gems on the table.

One gem was a dark blue as the ocean and another was as Purple as a violet. The one that held his attention the most was the glowing red ruby. The gem of Chaos finally was in his hands. "One step closer to my goal." he thought to himself as he aligned the stones into a triangle. He then closed his eyes and began to mediate. After what seemed like hours a vision appeared in the room. Marcus opened his eyes and got up out of his chair and kneeled down on one knee and bowed his head. "Greetings you unholiness how may I do you bidding this eve?" Marcus said to the clouded vision.

"Greetings my child you have done well so far in your services to me. I see you have recoved the gem of Chaos one of the keys that traps my spirit in this cursed limbo. I am also well pleased that you have dealt with that traitor soul collector who was suppose to gather power for me that I may try to escape but decided to gather the power of the souls for himself. I have another task for you my son. I have found where the next key to my prison lay. It can be found in the dungeon known as Destard. You must retrieve this before another adventure stumbles onto it." Marcus raised his head slightly and smiled. "Your will be done my master." he said as the vision faded into nothingness.

After a few mintutes Marcus got up off the floor and made his way back to his desk. Once there he put the jewels on the table back into his pouch and tied it back around his robe. He then made his way to the door. He walked down the hall to the inn keepers desk and paid the inn keeper for the room and then made his way outside. Once outside he took out his runebook and searched for the proper rune and began to chant knowing he get the gem at all costs he wished not to displease his master. After all there are worse things the Father could send after him then himself if he failed....
