My Dearest Maggy,

She had to put down the large bundle on the chair outside the door before she could slide the door opened. She thought to herself it would be nice to be able to just think it opened like mages can. As she picked up the bundle of groceries from Luna and walked inside she noticed the note on the table. She set her burden down and moved to the table.

She immedately recognized the handwriting and a concerned look came over her soft features. She turned from the letter not wanting to read the content and picked up her bundle and carried it to the chest. She put the items she had bought away carefully dispite her shaking hands. She then picked out a bottle of wine and a wine glass from the chest turning to look at the letter that seemed to be beconing her to read it. She shook her head and frowned as she walked to the table and sat infront of the letter just staring at it.

After drinking one glass of wine it seemed to calm her shaking enough to pick up the letter. She opened the letter but left it folded infront of her. She wished Nico were here to ease her worried mind. So many questions she had for him that she still had no answers for and now this letter. The last time Corzan spoke to her he asked her questions she could not answer and only Nico could. He had not been home in some time. He was busy with guild business and his hunting trips were longer and longer each time he left. This in itself worried her. What was her future with him? Why had he not asked the question?

She bit her lower lip and stilled the fears in her heart as she once again looked at the letter. She ran her fingers over the parchment and took a deep breath opening the folded note. She read the content and her brow furrowed. She did not want to meet with him. She had no answer for his prying questions. It made her hurt to not know of Nico's ententions for their life and having to tell Corzan to leave her alone again was not one she relished either. He would ask her again what Nico had said and she had no answers herself.

She sighed aloud and went to the chest. She got her writing materials and returned to the letter to compose her own.

Corzan,

I do not have the answers that you asked of me. I do not wish to meet with you as I said before. I do not love you. I love Nico. Even though he has not asked the question it makes no difference. I still love him.

Even if I didn't love him, Corzan, you are not who I wish to be with. You frighten me no matter how nice you seem to be. You come into my room while I sleep you tell me when you see me that if I do not do as you wish you will cause great anguish to me. This is not the man that I wish to be with. You have been accused of murder at my very doorstep and you ask me to be with you? I could not do that. Your obsession with me has got to stop. Please leave me in peace.

Maggy

She knew the letter would not make a bit of difference but she wrote it anyway. He was obsessed with her. She feared the letter might anger him but what other choice did she have.

She folded it and set it on the table and she went to look for her sealing wax. She returned to the table and the letter was gone... She suddered and peared into the shadows knowing he must have been here the whole time. She ran to one of the upstairs rooms and locked herself in shaking violently.

Crouching on the edge of the Hunter's Lodge balcony, Corzan looked endlessly into the dark night. His dark brown hair blew restlessly in the wind, whipping around his face and neck. Small droplets of blood stained his chin from a previous feeding, which he slowly wiped away. The most recent note had him frustrated, and rather upset to say the least. Slowly, he took a piece of parchment, a small feather from his belt, and pricked the tip of his finger. Dipping the feather in his own blood, he began to write:

My Dearest Maggy,

There is no reason to be so hostile towards me. It is alright that you do not know the answers yet. However, you are holding yourself back, we both know this. Look deep within yourself, you know it to be true.
When I hear the words love pour from your lips, it confuses me. Is your love for him... Mutual? Perhaps you are the one who is obsessed? And, please, my dear, I will never cause you pain. Love is blinding, so, please, I beg of you, forgive me for my previous actions. I only ask for a chance. Nicodemus does not need to know of our affair.
As for murder, no, I am not a murderer. When Nicodemus kills an orc, is that murder? They were here, in Sosaria, long before Humans began to establish a noteworthy civilization. Humans have forced them off their native lands, it is no wonder they hold such hatred towards your race. I'm rambling, and the orcish race really doesn't hold much weight here.
However, please, give me a chance, that is all I ask. Acknowledge this simple request, and I will leave you be, if your decision does not agree with my own.

Sincerely,

Corzan Sigismund
