Brianha carefully walked around her house trying to tidy even the smallest thing that might be out of place. “It must be perfect for them” . It had been hard work to build and finish this house in the time that she had.. but she was eager to be part of her friends and families lives once more and could hardly wait another day until she could set eyes on them. Still she felt a little apprehensive that some would not want to see her, that they would be angry with the choices she had made that took her on the journey she had been on. Though it ended much different than she had anticipated and her heart had endured much loss on the journey.. she never would change what she did. She followed her heart as she has always done.. as she would always do. With a deep sigh she sat down at one of the desks in her library and began to write the invitations.
It is with great pleasure that I invite you to spend an evening in the embrace of friends old and new to share in the joys of life and celebrate new beginnings. I would be honored if you would attend as I am most eager to start anew with merriment and happy faces.
Though I will not reveal who I am in this invitation… should you attend you will soon find out.
Follow the path of light in the village of Riverrun this Sun eve after the hour of eight and I shall be there to welcome you to my new home.
Yours in friendship forevermore
Satisfied with what she wrote and hoping the curiosity of her guildmates would get the best of them, especially since it would be in their backyard, she bound up all the invitations. They would be put in the door of each person she had considered a friend and those that had influenced her in some way on her path in life thus far

Ceasing his crate unpacking adventure long enough to go outside and check on the status of his lonely pack horse, Max noticed the note laying on the ground near the door.
As he read the curious words his first thought was that it was Swiftar either playing a trick or trying to recapture some of his old, tarnished glory.
I will go," Max thought to himself stroking his short beard, and perhaps stick him in the gut with a poisoned dagger when I greet him."
Continuing to think on the author of the note, Max also considered Brianha, but discounted her as being too impatient and giddy to have self-discipline great enough to delay announcing her return for more than five seconds if she WERE to return.
Max also considered that it might be some sort of sick game of Ceinwyn's in an attempt to further toy with his mind. A quick check of the other doors in the Village told him his invitation was not the only one making Ceinwyn was an unlikely suspect....especially since he had heard she had recently been arrested.
Once he had taken ample time to think about all the possible authors of the invitation, Max decided he would attend, but he would make good use of his hooded robe until he was certain of who was behind this note.
In his deep thought, Max entirely forgot about the poor pack horse that was now wandering far from home. _________________ -Max of Vesper, Super Pally Perma NoOb. |

Claudette awoke feeling well rested and ready to face the new day. She needed to do some shopping before she headed out to the stable to check on her animals. She hummed to herself as she got dressed and prepared her bag. KFC greeted her eagerly and patiently waited for Claudette to giver her some fruit.
After having had something to eat herself, Claudette opened her door and watched as an envelope fell to the ground. She picked it up and inspected it. There was nothing that identified who it was from so she opened it and read it. The words intrigued her. Who would plan such a mysterious gathering? She wondered. She would check with the rest of her guild mates to see if they had received similar invitations. Claudette was generally a trusting person but she also knew that you had to be careful. Although the invite spoke of good times with friends, it still seemed rather suspicious. She would go, albeit very guarded and see what this person wanted with her.
Leaving the invitation on her table, she closed her door, hopped on KFC and set out for another day of hard work. _________________

Drayden returned to his home on Legion Island not long after the sun had set in the west. It was getting rather chilly, with winter in full swing and a thin layer of snow had fallen earlier. If the elf had not looked down at the steps before he entered his retreat he would have completely missed the soggy letter poking out of the icy layer.
He nearly lept for joy as he saw it, hoping it was a letter from his lover. He opened it quickly and saw there was no signature. With a smirk he read it quickly. Intriguing, perhaps I will attend just to see who our mysterious host might be. This could be fun...
With that thought in his mind he walked inside and shut the door behind him, he had much to do. Drayden wouldn't let a small invite detain him from his work by any means. |

Mallory returned to her home on Legion Island and was pleased to see a note addressed to her waiting on the front table. She opened it eagerly and was surprised to see there was no signature. How mysterious... she thought to herself. Could it be from Smiticles? She looked at the writing and determined that it was not his writing. She turned the paper over in her hands, but it was simply addressed with her name. There had been many surprises lately, the best being of course the return of her beloved Smiticles. She had been to Riverrun often during his absense, but had seen little activity there. She had seen Claudette but once and had heard from Smiticles that Brianha had not yet returned. That left Max, and she was not sure that he would do something like this either. He did not seem the mysterious type. Although what he had seen in Ceinwyn... well that was certainly a mystery... She wondered who could have possibly sent this note. She shook her head and smiled to herself. She decided she would indeed attend. Even with the election on the horizon, she decided the adventure would do her good... |

Smiticles had found the note tucked into the jam of his door and his heart lept with excitement. Surely this had to be a message from Mallory. Seeing her once more had brought him great joy. After her, seeing his guild together again now was all that was left to make his homecoming complete.
Unwrapping the note he was met with instant dissapointment then a wave of curiosity. How strange this note seemed. It didn't make much sense at all to him. Although perplexed, he decided he would attend, if, for any other reason then to be sure there was no mischief afoot within the village.
It was also an opportunity. A chance to attend a social gathering with the women he loved and, hopefully, a chance for all his friends to share in his happiness.
He quickly penned a letter to Mallory.
My dearest love,
I have been invited to attend a social gathering this Sunday eve after the passing of the eighth evening hour. It's all rather strange as the host has not identified him or herself. It is, however, here in Riverrun and to my knowledge no evil has crept its way into our midsts as of yet so I feel as though it is a safe venture. (We all know that evil women's attempt to engage us was thwarted!)
With that I am asking if you would wish to accompany me to this gathering. Many of my friends and neighbors are attending and it would bring me great pleasure to find you on my arm amongst them. I do pray that you will so honor me and my friends by gracing us with your beauty and wit. Your presence alone will insure I have a wonderous evening even if the party should be a failure.
Yours always,
Smiticles |

Returning home Nico was surprised to see an envelope on the table Gurath had just finished. Expecting it to be another bill for the work that was being done around the new house, Nico was happy to see someone else’s handwriting. Strange he thought, doesn’t look like Maggy wrote the name on the envelope, so who was it? Opening the envelope Nico was curious to see what was going on now. There are several new members in the ALV and he thought maybe it was one of them.
Well only one way to find out, he would show up knock and see who answered the door. Not being one to dwell on surprises he would find out soon enough. Right now he had to try to find his bed and get a good night sleep. _________________ Nicodemus ALV |
