A week had gone by, Aerie lay in her bed once again in tears. Her failure towards Sactus and the protection of the innocent citizens had come to pass. Isilmea had come to meet her several days after. Aerie cherished that memory in her heart for she felt a closeness to Isilmea as family. However, not even that could ease her pain. Isilmea may leave the lands again, this time for good. She had also mentioned leaving the kingdom to Aerie and proclaiming her Queen. But this was not the only thing troubling her.

One night in Hanse, aerie sat in a corner thinking of the night she seen Isilmea when she heard a familiar voice. Her fiance Spawn had entered. Aerie overheard his conversation with Penelope about her love. He had menitioned that some day, he would find his true love. At this, Aerie's body flinched, a tear escaping her eye. At this, Spawn left Hanse for his office.

Aerie, holding the engagement in her hand, ran up to Spawn's home and office. As she finally entered, Spawn was sitting there at his desk. They argued about her lack of presence since her resignation of captain. From what he said, it was her lack of presence that caused his desire for another love. Since Spawn himself was gone for nearly two years, persuing his twin brother, and then dead at the hands of his brother, Aerie felt there was more to Spawn's decision than her presence. They had even fought several times since his return to the living world. Pained by the loss of her fiance, Aerie placed the ring on his desk and fled the room.

Still laying in bed recollecting the memories of that day, Aerie decided enough was enough. She had to be strong for Isilmea's sake. Spawn was gone, and was not coming back this time. She finally risen from her bed and polished her elven armor. Aerie needed to look good and confident for her next meeting with Isilmea.
