Steel sat for long moments staring at the three objects on the black stone table before him. He studied them hard, not tearing his eyes once from the table. Two of the objects were wedding gifts from his allies.

The first was a medallion, made from stone and bone. The red sigil of Chaos cut a deep groove in the stone plate. It was almost a perversion of the life that once dwelled in the bones on the pendant.

The second was a medium-sized vial. Inside hovered a severed tongue.

The third was a piece of blackrock.

After long thought, his mind dwelled on the connection between the three items. He realized how they were intertwined, and finally it dawned on him.

He knew what he had to do.
