She followed him through the frozen wastes, the wind whipping at their bodies. They were both silent, what was there to say? Their friendship had long since drifted, any relationship now being purely functional based on the trust they had for each other. And yet, there was something, he said. Something he hadn't shown her before. He finally stopped at the steps before a well-kept fortress, the thick stone walls showing no signs of wear. After studying the area momentarily, he slowly stepped forward into the fortress yard. She looked up at the towers of the fortress as she followed him into the yard, looking back to him after only moments so as to not lose sight of him in the thick snowfall. It appeared as though he found something. Moving closer, she watched as he drew a rune in the snow. A deep black energy filled the rune, seemingly becoming solid. He set his foot onto the rune and disappeared. After a moment, contemplating where the black rune would teleport to, she did the same.

Lifting her head after feeling the energies deposit her body, she looked around. The small room had nothing but a teleporter in it, but was connected to a larger room. The door was already open, he didn't hesitate at all to enter it seemed. She peered inside what appeared to be a basement, filled with arcane relics and chests. However, the scent quickly caught her attention. The thick musty air carried the strong scent of blood. Not fresh blood by any means, however the trapped air held the scent well. She looked to him, he stood at the edge of a table, watching her. Uncertain of what he expected of her, she looked around the room confused. She noticed splashes of dried blood against the wall to her left, and followed the splashes and streaks with her gaze to a pool of caked, dried bood not far from her feet. She knelt down and ran her fingers over the blood, then scratched some off the floor with her claw and tasted it. It was from a young man, however most other details were obscured by the sheer amount of alchemic toxins and residue left in the blood. She understood now.

"Despite what purity your kind has achieved, as you have noted, you are still fighting the taint. You have strived to overcome this obstacle. However your solutions thus far have failed.
This is a gift for you. I know what you can do with it."
He spoke, resting his hand on her shoulder. Her head drooped slightly, an energy entered her and flowing throughout her body. For a few moments, the sense of purity overtook her. All longings and loneliness faded, giving way to the pleasure of simply being complete. The energy faded, and he had already left. She understood what he meant and intended. Once again, she would work with someone both capable and reliable.

Deep within her creation place, the laboratory Makhim Jaltak, she spent the day using an aquired power to separate the impurities from the blood sample she took from the basement under the fortress. Using every ounce of focus and pushing the limits of her capability she finally finished, having a pure blood sample before her. She placed the sample into a nearby device, and ran a charge through it.

Success.
The charge ran through the blood sample, successful in every way.

The status crystal on her headset sent a complete list of traits through her optic nerve. No abnormalities were detected, nothing listed as unstable. She went to the device and pulled a crystal from it in which the traits were recorded, and walked towards a larger mechanism, setting the crystal in a slot on it. It was time for the project to begin.

She was sick of flesh-born failures. Both of her students hadn't taken to their studies as expected, one of them even dropping all social tact and common sense. This time, she was certain she would have a successful student, having been quite close with the original. She began to laugh, the setup was perfect. She was succeeding where her parent did not. She would have her accomplice back, and under even stronger blood than before.
