I would like to meet with you at your convenience to learn more about you and your people and perhaps to make known to you the people and ways of Sanctus.

Tai sat staring unbelievingly at his morning mail bouncing across the room. It flew up and swirled in the air for a moment and then settled in front of him. That was when he heard the giggle of Grigori-san.

As he sorted through the mail, the set the declarations of imminent death from the many factions that sought to harm him to the side and held out one with the seal of the City state of Sanctus upon it.

He opened it and read the letter.

"Grigori-san, do you know where Lady Rryn is?"

"No, Mr. Tai."

"Let us go find her."

Tai held his hand out for Grigori to take as the went off in search of his wife in the house.

The sudden crashing sound disrupted her meditation. Rryn sighed wonder what Taichi could possibly be getting into now. The sound of giggles followed and the girls ran into the room leaping into her arms. Following closely behind were Tai and Grigori
" Chichi (father) was looking for you Haha (mother)." they giggled pointing at Tai.
" Taichi , he chased the nanny"...Rei began.
" She hides good like us..." Kei piped in.
" He crash the wall..he mad he missed her"
" She.....

Rryn and Tai shared a brief moment of eye contact.
The girls endless chatter of the events finnally winded down.

" I think you girls should show Master Grigori where Cook hides all the cookies." Rryn suggested, ruffleing Grigori's hair playfully. The children ran out of the room.

Tai handed her a letter saying it looked to be important.. She read the letter aloud to Tai as it was not in Kanji and smiled."This is excellent news. It would be a great benefit to all around to form good relations with the City State of Sanctus.
They discussed the letter at length and where such a meeting could take place. The safety of the family was foremost in Tai's mind. Very few knew the location of the safe house and those that they entrusted carefully brought all news to them. There had not been anymore activities reported in Zento. Tai assured her he would make sure all was safe before they returned to their home. Rryn walked to her writing table and took out her suplies. She quickly addressd the envelope and wrote quick note.

Lady Genna,
We are honored to have received your letter. We look forward to meeting you and learning more of your culture and custom. We gladly open our borders to all and hope that soon you can visit Zento and partake of our culture as well.
Unfortunantly we are currently away from our estate due to unforseen threats upon my children and family. We are being assured that such threat may already have passed. Dependent upon reports received in the next day or so, we hope to return home soon. I apologize that we cannot set a date and location at this time. Either myself, or my husband,Tai Kwan Otori, will send another message to you regarding setting up of this meeting as soon as possible.

Sincerely

Lady Rryn Otori

Upon completing her writing , she sealed the message with candlewax and the stamp of the Empress. She pulled the silk cord near her chair and one of her Shadow Walkers appeared at her request.
"Please see this letter reaches the Ambassador Lady Genna or one of her subordinates."
The messanger bowed and disapeared into a puff of smoke.

Tai walked toward her and was about to take her in his arms when another crash sounded. He sighed deeply and headed for the door. As he aproached the doorway Rryn called out to him laughing " And take that mace away from him please !"
