*The following is a pair of writs delivered to two places. One personally to Baron Mordegan. The other, addressed to the Royal Court of Light and to be opened and read at their next meeting*

My Good Peoples,

:: Please read the following letter aloud to your companions, in its entirety. Grant me this respect. ::

Hold fast your elated hearts as I share this news with you. Since the resistance has taken an organized and open face, our opposing factions have faced war. The Royal Court, the Border Legion and other Allies have met time and again against my legionaries and mercenaries.

Blood has been spilled. Much. I trust the casualties will be tallied, and all will be staggered at their numerous marks. While I am certainly not at a loss for bodies to throw at you, I have decided to recall my forces and repeal all patrols and fortifications on the outer rims of my territory.

In addition, I am abdicating from my rightful title of Commander and Lord of Sanctus. I will keep my crown, I will keep my ring and I will keep my spoils. Rather unceremoniously, the city will be handed back, in its entirety to Baron and the peoples of Sanctus to govern once more as their own without contestation from myself.

This writ is to be effective on the day of October 25th at the hour of noon.

However, I will not be surrendering myself to your "holy war". It was written in the stars long ago, that none of you will be the one to bring me down. As one final, magnanmous gift to the city I truly love, I will sponsor fully a memorial to those who laid down their lives for Lord and Land.

Being able to write this declaration to you from the comfort and safety of my own office, is one phyric victory you cannot take away.

I'll be in touch,

His Holiness,
The Lord Bailos Myrdra,
King of Sanctus

Declaration to all
Good People of Sanctus!

It rejoices my heart that we have freed our lands and homes from the clutches on Lord Bailos. The virtues have shined upon our lands and have left us victorious. The loss of material items from our treasury such as gold and priceless artifacts which were plundered by Bailos during his reign will not harm the economy of Sanctus. It is the spirit of its people that makes Sanctus strong. This strength will enable Sanctus to prosper once again as the main beacon for the followers of the virtues.

Sanctus will prosper!!Sanctus shall flourish!!

Long live Sanctus!!

//signed//
Baron Mordegan
Major
Order of Sanctus

Looking over the formation of Sanctus troops before him, the entirety of the situation hit him. All the pain, the suffering, and the sacrifice had paid off. With that thought the sting of loosing Sadira again stabbed at his heart.

In the time since her death he had come to accept that was the scar he would bear from this whole ordeal. The many physical ones he had received simply did not exist compared to that one. This one would last well into the afterlife. True love does not come often, and he knew he would never experience it again.

As the pain faded slowly for the time being he again focused upon the men and women that stood before him. The numbers and the motivation these young troops showed rivaled that of the glory days of Sanctus. Now they would begin to write the next Chapter in the history of Sanctus.

"Order!!" he said with a slight grin

"Attention!!"
