Claudette sat in her garden and thought about how busy she had been lately and how she hadn't had time for much. As she looked at the plants in her garden, she noticed that they too were showing signs of her absence and made a mental note to tend to them later.

As she relaxed for the first time in what seemed like an eternity, she thought about Melior and her cousin. She missed them both so much and hadn't seen much of either of them. She hoped all was well with both of them. They both meant so much to her.

She had a lot to share with Melior and hoped that he would be happy with her decision to help with the new justice system Tai had proposed. She had agree to be one of the justices and although she wasn't quite sure what that involved yet, she was excited about the possibilites.

She got up from her chair in the garden and went to her writing desk to pen a letter to Melior.

My dearest Aratoamin,

How have you been? I hope this letter finds you well. I feel that it's been ages since we last saw each other and I miss you dearly. There is much I need to share with you. A lot of changes have occurred in my life and I hope that you will support me in some of the decisions I have made. Perhaps soon we can get together and talk? I pray that you have been safe from harm and that you too will have many stories to share with me.

I feel that I've been so distant from everyone lately. I cannot tell you the last time Brianha and I sat down for one of our heart to hearts. Perhaps I will invite her to our home and have some wine with her on the porch you so lovingly designed for us. You truly are the most amazing and thoughtful man I have ever known.

Well my love, I hope to hear from you soon, if for nothing else than to know that you are safe.

Missing you dearly,

Your Arwenamin

Claudette sealed the letter and spoke the words that took her to their future home. Once there she gave the letter to Tara the chef. "Tara, please see to it that Lord Melior gets this when you see him next." Taking the letter and placing it in the pocket of her apron, Tara simply replied "Yes Lady Claudette, I will be sure to give it to him." Walking around the house once to make sure everything was okay, Claudette then leaves to tend to the plants in her own garden.

"Thank you, Tara," Melior said, as he took the letter from the cook.

He sat down to eat a peach, smiling, as he read the letter.

So many changes, eh?

He smiles again, as thoughts of Claudette fill his mind. He had just laundered all of his clothing that had lain strewn about on the floor. He blushed to himself, remembering the fruit-eating contest. Recovering, he takes a quill and ink to write a note in reply to hers.

My dear Lady, Claudette,

I am well. Britain has been quiet most days. So quiet, that I have been given time off on some days to hunt or do what I want, within a certain radius from the castle. I recently took a day off to travel to the Juka City. I had a nasty run-in with a couple mages.

I hope these changes in your life aren't me! I jest, my Love. Certainly, I am behind anything you choose to do.

Missing your sunshine, Love,

Your Melior

He leaves the note with Tara, as well, with instructions to give it to the lady of the manor, Claudette.

Strapping on his quiver, he sighs and steps out of the door to go hunt a deer in the woods for dinner.
