*An elaborately written declaration bearing the seal of The Royal Court of Light, posted prominently at all banks and official buildings throughout the Relms*

Sighing, Bailos reviews a copy of the declaration.
Looking up at the messenger that brought it to his attention, he sighs again and lets it fall to the floor...but oneword escapes his lips...

Norture walked throughout Umbra, his black ornate robe gracefully flowing much like a shadow. As he surveyed his city, a poster hanging at the bank caught his attention. Upon reading it, the violet energy floating in his eye sockets glowed annoyedly. As he suspected, all was not well in Sanctus, thus Bailos's attempt to take over the Order; He needed an army to fight for him. But the trecharous waith was defeated and knew the price should he return to Umbra, the Order would not be sending him a single soldier. Bailos stressed all along Sanctus was his project and not for the Order. It was time for him to deal with it. |

On one of many dutiful, yet time-consuming patrols through Delucia, Ceinwyn stopped by the bank and happened upon the notice, posted for all to see.
Bailos, what have you gotten yourself into...
It seemed Bailos had taken on more than he could handle in too small a time. This places him in an awkward position. Ceinwyn had not seen a force to equal the forces of the Court of Light, in Sanctus. There were rumors of rebellion. Times seemed dark for the wispy fellow.
I wonder what you will do.. Will you ask for help? Will you demand those favors? What strings will you pull, Dark One? Who would you turn to that would not turn their back? I wonder what Lord Galnor makes of this...
She pondered this for some time. It was a bit satisfying, in a way, to know that she wasn't the only one who had not succeeded, at least, not yet.
So much activity, lately. The return of Cear, the odd over-tangle in Yew, failing the Decay, and now this.
As she strolled along, she wondered what Bailos' next move would be. |

Reading the Declaration Major Mordegan smiles
"His days are numbered...he has plundered Blackguard and the people of Sanctus of its riches and artifacts" thought Baron as he made preparations for this evenings training session
"Our forces have grown, allies have been secured and our rebellious efforts are now showing their fruit" Baron placed down his quill-feather and reached for a mug of Sanctus Ale.
"The sun shall shine its rays of hope throughout the lands and people shall rejoice once again." he whispered to himself while staring out the window at the morning sky. _________________

While taking a small trip to Trinsic to pick up some reagents, a rather lively Isil gazed upon a poster at the city's bank
War? Oh dear... This isn't good at all. Perhaps my skills in healing will be necessary...
Reading it again, she stopped every time the word Bailos was written down
Why does that name seem so familiar... _________________ Stopped by January 2022, technically on the discord server. |

While walking through delucia Galnor caught sight of rather elaborate notice. Reading it he sighed and muttered:
"They pay no heed here yet they litter it.."
Carefully taking it down, Galnor rolls up the notice and sets it aside. On fresh parchment he writes:
Citizens of Delucia. Due to conflictions of interest between foreign organizations the road from umbra to luna west of the mountain pass and the lands surrounding it are deemed dangerous as a decree of war between foreign groups has made the threat of battle there imminent.
Once the ink dries Galnor posts it in place of the other notice within delucia. Pondering a few new things in his mind Galnor burns the elaborate notice before he continues on with his buisness. |

The young boy was taking a brief stroll through Umbra, flipping through the pages of a newly-found book, when he saw a parchment pinned to a column at the bank. Closing his book, he skimmed the notice, muttering a word here and there.
Bailos... Sanctus... forces... war...
Curious, he read over the parchment again, this time actually paying attention to what it had to say.
...war on Bailos.
With a loud flop, the book hit the floor of the bank as the youth sprinted out of Umbra. |

Toren chuckled quietly as he looked over the notice. He ripped a small bit off the bottom of it and barrowed the pen on the banker's desk.
Bailos,
It seems you're in trouble. I've yet to pick a side and am still unsure if I will at all. Though you do need help. Respond quickly, if at all. I'm sure we can be of some use.
Toren Smythe
Toren sealed the paper in an envelope and picked up another fragment.
To The Royal Court of Light,
I read of a declaration of war on your part and would like to offer my aid, should you respond in due time. I give you a week. Respond to this letter and we will discuss my terms of assisstance.

Toren,
If you wish to stand against the combined might of at least a dozen factions, I applaud your courage. I do not intend to fight this war on the battlefield. This old wraith is not defenseless and is not without his tricks. I assure you I have several...scars left to inflict. Contrary to popular belief, I am in fact fighting for an idea. Not for a god or a country or for personal glory or for the sheer joy of "supposed moral corruption of Sanctus".
Before you scoff at me for rejecting your....magnanamous suggestion, consider it a fault of timing. While I do appreciate you...galloping to my aid in my aparent time of need, nothing has happened in the last 10 days to make us any closer 'friends' than we were before. If you would not stand with me last week, I certainly wont expect you to now.
In conclusion...since it seems you had the gaul to write me and tell me in your 'formal letter' that you are "still picking sides" and insist on insulting my intelligence in this manner, I will be the better man and not in turn insult yours. I will end it simply by sharing with you, that you may go to hell.
Let us pray this recent string of nasty weather clears up, eh?

A smirk crosses his face and lingers as he writes.
Bailos,
Your rejection of aid shocks me. Frankly I see no way you may win this battle, off or on the Battlefield, but I thought surely my assisstance in this would be apprieciated. Regardless, you must do as you see fit and I honestly do wish you the greatest of luck in your "fight".
Your dearest friend,
Toren Smythe
*With a chuckle he sealed the envelope and sent the letter off to it's destination.*
"Well, that went less than desireably." |

Lord Bailos,
As you know I have been quite indisposed in the Yew prison for months. I have refused to pay bail to scoundrels and have therefore had to wait in this unseemly rat-hole unjustly accused by an ungrateful knave. My trial is set for today and I am certain of vindication and release.
My associates have informed me that the Royal Court of Light has declared war on you and that the odds are heavily stacked in their favor. This does not deter me whatsoever from offering any help I may to you. And if your immediate circumstances prevent you from representing me at my trial, I will understand and free you of that obligation. Know simply that I stand with you against all odds. The "virtuous" may hide until they secure overwhelming strength before impersonating bravery and initiating vengeance, but the truly courageous will never shrink from duty, the declaration of friendship, and the offer of assistance in times of need. I stand with you, old friend.
I would that we speak privately on this and other matters important to us both. Please send a message by a secure courier to effect this. Once I am free, we may work together to determine how to meet or deflect this dire threat.
Your Servant,
Lord Thrax |

As Jeren leads his way to nearby vendors he looks closely to a weathered parchment posted for declaration of war. Discerned, and confused to what brought this about he quickly returns to his residence and clears the dust from his blank parchments from his table that once sat great warriors in his own council and writes.
Chairman of the Royal Court of Light,
I have written in response to a post parchment I came across. I have returned from outside these regions just in the past few days and due to my absence haven't much knowledge to why it is you have declared such a war. Knowing little though has made me decide to respond in turn to both your courtships alliance as well as Bailos.
In no way am I stating that the declaration is uncalled for, but such a stance at this time with out knowing the past is difficult for myself to support. I wish when times become easier for everyone in your court to seek counsel in discussing an alliance and if between now and then a possible position amongst your ranks of one of the many alliances you have if the Sanctum runs into problems standing our own guild.
Sir Jeren Yendorin
Lord of the Sanctum of Warriors
Bailos,
I have written in response to a post parchment I came across. I have returned from outside these regions just in the past few days and due to my absence haven't much knowledge to why it is you had a declaration of war. Knowing little though has made me decide to respond in turn to both you and the courtships alliance.
In no way am I stating that the declaration is uncalled for, but such a stance at this time with out knowing the past is difficult for myself to support. I can only hope that this declaration is under terms in which have been sought through discussion before such banner has been raised towards you and those that follow your command. Though from the forewinds of the lands in which I have traveled there is little I have heard of virtue when it comes to ye name, but I will not pass thy judgement on one in which I have not met in passing. So at a comfortable time in the future I would enjoy to speak with ye to allow my own judgement to pass before making a final stance toward war against anyone. Be at peace and I pray that ye seek words and life; rather then accepting war and death so immediately if you have yet shared words to lead you there.
Sir Jeren Yendorin
Lord of the Sanctum of Warriors
He seals the seperate parchment with his old, very hardened oil stamp and hands it to the hired hand he recruited to send off the messages. |

Liam stood swiftly from his resting area in the forest around sanctus and looked around, quietly he reached in his pack and took out a letter and started to write something down.
Master,
I have come to terms with my enslavement, and the realization that vaen is not comming to save me. I would like to serve you in this "time of need"
