Annawen looked to her lover as he stood next to Synful's bed,she could tell by his face that nothing with her sister had changed.Ever since Silver had brought her back from her father's castle Syn had been in a coma like sleep only calling out for Dan and no one else.

"I have sent most of the men home only a few are still here to help take down the last three tents...and Danie will prepare a gate to Windrunner Manor for you to take Syn home....,"she said as she walked over and placed her hand on his back gently.

"Thank you love...I want you and our daughter to join me at their home along with Danie....right now she needs all of us...,"he said as he leaned back in her hand then turned his head to look at her over his shoulder,"hopefully we can find Dan before she awakes...I know she will want him at her side the moment she opens her eyes...,"he said just as Danie walked in.

"I think I know why Dan left the way he did...,"she said causing the other two to turn around and look at her,"he left because he thought she was dead...,"she said then motioned over to his shield which was laying with Syn on the bed,"he left that as sort of a symbol....so please don't take it to far from her..,"she said as Silver nodded then turned and leaned down, scooping Syn into his arms,"open the portal please Danie...so I can take her home.."

Danie nodded her head and did as she was asked then stepped aside to let Silver walk through with Syn who was already starting to fight at not having her lover's shield close to her,"Danie get the shield...,"he said as she stepped over to Dan and Synful's bed then leaned down to place her on it.

"Tell Silver I will see to the tents being taken down then join the two of you there...,"Annawen said just as Danie reached the portal,"I will...,"Danie said as she disappeared into the portal then moved over to place the shield next to Syn.Silver watched the young woman and smiled abit then teleported himself up onto the roof to stare up at the moon while Danie took up a seat near Syn.

PostPosted: Fri Sep 09, 2005 1:15 am Post subject: Dorion the White Dragon Reply with quote

Dorion stepped out into the cold winds of the isle, blinded by the snow to only view the distant image of his opponent. With his newfound glacial staff in hand, he knew that his control of the elements around him would definitely come to his advantage, but would that be enough? Dorion gave a smug grin to his oncoming opponent, but hid his fear in the back of his mind. "This man will die..." he muttered to himself, and then took then walked outside even more until he was at least 20 feet from the door. He could feel the harsh winds blowing over himself, fluttering his clothes this way and that. He stood firm though, and slammed his glacial staff in the ground to hold his position.

As it touched the snow, ice blue energies poured out from its figure. A surge of energy made a nova from where he stood, and before long something began to take shape from the snow around him. The snow quickly spursed off, as spikes of ice and frost cracked its way to the surface. Before long, the spikes reached high above around him and took the shape as some sort of gargantuan cone shelter. Having been engulfed in his own magics, he could only laugh at what he had in store for the final challenge against this "hero" before him.

---

As he made his approach, he could tell that the magics he had sensed were quite familiar. "Dorion..." he muttered to himself, and cringed with anger as he gripped his kryss's handle tighter. "...so I've found you...". Having finished speaking, he began to pick up his pace and started his sluggish dash through the snow towards the villain, only to suddenly halt upon the what seemed to have been camoflauged spire that had risen in front of him. Feeling magics erupt and form within, he quickly made a combat pose, ready for whatever was to come. As he held his ground to observe what was to commence, the earth began to shudder under his feet as the spire slowly cracked apart. Some sort of beast was within, some sort of horrible monster!

And then, as if triggered somehow, the spire exploded into hundreds of ice shards, rocketing this way and that. Giving a few quick dodges, Dan anticipated them and stayed clear of their sharp points, only to lay witness to look on to what Dorion had become for him to fight! A huge figure loomed above Dan now, with two great wings of ice white scales. He had become a white wyrm!, and for just a brief moment Dan had relapsed in fear of what he was about to face...

---

Dorion quite enjoyed his newfound power within him, and could feel the sheer might of his being. He looked down upon the man, and snuffed sheer freezing mist through his nostrils. The wind blew over him, but he seemed to hold his ground with his kryss to his side. After it blew over, the wyrm that was Dorion smiled at what it saw, and began to speak through his mind. "So boy, will you face me now?", he said as he let his wings spread full span above his soon-to-be victim. "...or will you die like that pathetic Galadriel?" With those words, he sensed the hero revert to what had brought him there in the first place, and with that the kryss's accursed magic and crimson red glow, it seemed to have set him back to his previous, murderous state. Having noticed, Dorion could only laugh manically through his mindwaves, then let forth a cone of deathly cold mist from his mouth. Responding to reflex, the hero moved his forearm in front of him to shield it, only to remember that he had no shield!

---

The wyrm's breath engulfed Dan straight on, and when it cleared there was nothing left but a man crouched down on the snow, covered in frost. A smug, sinister grin spread across his face, as he muttered his magic words to release himself from the ice. "Augus Luminos". With that, a bright eminated around him like an aura, and restored him to his original state before he was struck. He knew that in the conditions he was in, the raging blizzard was give the wyrm such an advantage that it would be damn near impossible to even strike the beast!...

...but he had to try.

And so, Dan moved his kryss into lunge it at the wyrm, and as he squinted his eyes to find a target, he noticed something off in the distance under the wyrm's belly. It was lodged in the ground, it was where the spire had spawned, it was the ice staff! Quickly, before wasting another moment, Dan sheathed his kryss with lightning speed and made a desperate attempt to reach the staff before Dorion could react! Every second counted, he knew, but his agility served him well as halfway reached it before the wyrm caught on to what he was doing. "Nice try, boy" he said with a vicious tone, and easily swung his tail towards between the staff and the hero. Having noticed, Dan quickly leaped forth and lay flat in the snow, letting the massive tail painfully budge him abit, but not enough to crush him. Having that evaded, and despite the pain, he once again rushed towards the staff. This time, there was nothing that Dorion could do to stop him, and watched in horror as the man grabbed hold the only item that had granted him what he was!

---

As the hero grabbed the only thing that had granted Dorion that power that was him, he could feel his energies draining. The hero lifted the staff up into the air, and pointed it in his direction. Originally, Dorion would have struggled over this, but he knew the staff's magics and he knew he would have his chance again, someway, somehow. The hero looked up to the his face as the staff's power was doing its work, and gave a confident smug. Dorion laughed, and he knew that as long as the staff remained intact, it would only imprison him and nothing more. Only he and Electra knew of how to destroy it, but with her in the state she was in, and Dorion's own recent development, their chances would be slim to none. The staff was nearly finished, but before it had done its job, Dorion decided to use what strenght he had left to exchange a few sow a few seeds of uncertainty to his captor.

"This isn't over boy, this is only the beginning. Dorion the White Dragon will return, mark my words. My followers will release me once again, and perhaps then I can rid myself of you as well. I do hope that you can live with yourself though, having left your precious woman in my crumbling castle. I truly hope you can live with yourself once it is gone..."

As he finished his speech, Dorion laughed out the rest of his time before he was truly sucked into the glacial staff. Having finished, the hero slammed it into the ground and felt the glowing icy chill from it. It was holding quite a villain inside, he knew, and what he also knew was what was to become of his beloved whom he had been deceived into thinking she had been killed...

---

...and there he stood, alone, in the raging blizzard with the ominous staff in one hand, and the accursed kryss in the other...

Annawen looked down to Syn again and sighed,"where are you Syn..?,"she asked then stood up and moved over to where she had laid Cayenne and looked down to her tiny daughter,"she has your eyes my love...,"Silverflame said as he stepped off the teleporter and looked to her as she stared down at their daughter.

Hearing her lover she smiled abit then looked back to him over her shoulder,"and your nose...,"she said as she moved back over to Syn and wiped her forehead,"she isn't getting any better Silver...infact she is worse...,"she said as she sat the rag back into the bowl and stood up turning to look at her lover.

"I know Anna but what can I do...?."he asked then jumped as the shield slipped free from her grasp and clattered to the floor causing Syn to sit up in bed,"DAN!!!!!,"she screamed causing Anna to jump as well as Cayenne to start crying from being woken up some rudely."Damn it...,"Silver said as he pushed past his lover and moved to pick up the shield and place it back within Syn's arms which instantly quieted her.

"I'm going to take Cayenne upstairs and lay her down...,"Annawen said as she walked over and stepped onto the teleporter,"I'll stay with Syn....would you check on Danie again...I think she fell asleep at the dining table...,"he said as Annawen nodded and disappeared.

Stepping off the portal she looked to the young mage and smiled abit,"still asleep...,"she said as she moved over to the cradle and laid Cayenne down in it then picked up a spare blanket and laid it on Danie's shoulders,"If Dan is going to face her father...then he thinks Syn is dead...I wish there was a way to tell him she was alive....,"she said unaware that at that very moment Dan was trapping her father in the glacier staff causing Syn's body to feel nothing but cold.

"Annawen come here quickly!!!,"she heard her lover call out causing her to groan abit and pray that he didn't wake their daughter up.Stepping over to the teleporter she disappeared from the dining room and appeared in the master bedroom,"what now Silver?,"she asked then moved up beside him and went pale as she watched her sister start to shake,"the staff...Poppa is using the glacier staff on her..,"she said then continued to watch as Syn's body stopped shaking and became still.

Annawen wasn't aware that her and Syn's father was now trapped in the staff and his control over Syn was no more,"Perhaps I can use Dan's shield to communicate with him...,"she said as Silverflame raised an eyebrow,"how...?,"he asked as Annawen smiled abit then moved over to sit on the bed with her sister, placing one hand on the shield and the other on the Syn's hand but stopped as she felt Syn's hand tighten around hers,"Dan..,"Syn whispered softly as she slowly opened her eyes and looked to Annawen,"where is Dan....I want him here...,"she said as Annawen nodded,"the concentrate on him Syn...use his shield to help you...,"she said as Syn did as she was asked and closed her eyes clutching the shield to her body as tightly as she could in her state.Annawen stood up and watched as bright light filled the room,a light so bright that it brought Silver and Danie both down to the room with them.

There he stood, victorious, yet defeated. The had finished, in a sense, of what he had set out to do here in Ice Island, but the cost was only so dear...

He could feel the kryss begin to shine, the wretched chaotic shine of that which symbolized its embrace to the soul of its wielder. Its evil intent was about to change who Dan was forever...and as this happened Dan could not even let go to the kryss by his own will. It had somewhat imbued its hold onto his hand, and as its red demonic magics trhough his hand, it began to creep up past the bracelet, heading towards the heart. Extreme pain flooded through his mind in the entire process, from which he struggled to halt it by holding his corrupted arm and attempting to focus what chivalric magics he could muster into it. The tormenting anguish was all he could feel now, to the point where he could not even feel the cold, the cold of the raging blizzard around him. His eyes became bloodshot, as his blood began to slowly boil inside of him from the kryss...

...having full control of its host, the kryss commanded Dan to raise him above, so that the bloodflow may takes a quicker course through him. A small whisper began to sound in his mind, then grew louder as the process neared its completion. "Pathetic mortal...if I had not of spared you, you would have died miles back by now. Accept it, accept my power, accept the seed that you have been longing for, to accept those violent urges within you..."

"Never!!" shouted Dan, and continued his attempts to fight back against the evil flow of control that had taken his entire arm now. As he looked on in horror, he could sense that he could not feel his arm anymore, and its skin had grown pale, so pale that it would seem white!, and once again the voice continued to preach him. "Become my host! Let me stride this mortal plane again, as Zyron!". Having heard the entity's name, he knew what he was up against. This was no mere daemon, it had to be a balron!, and only the balrons of old could have such names and such power to which they would be imprisoned in weapons...

...but as Dan could feel the bright white of the blizzard grow dim and dark, a new light shined to his view. The light was not white, but golden, a golden light which poured our his body and surrounded him. Slowly, he could feel his senses returning and the pain disappear, as the monsterous demonic voice screamed in agony! "What is this? How can this be? No! I was so close! Noooo!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!". The voice lowered to a whisper in his mind, and before long he could feel the a wave of magic flow throughout him. "The bracelet has purged me!" he realized in a flash, and before long he could feel the familiar bracelet's warming light around his body, and even warmer as the light shimmered away to reveal his new location.

He saw Danie, his dear sister, smiling to him with tears in her eyes. She was holding the spellbook that he had given to her, hugging it close to her chest...

...And that lieutenant, with a half grin on his face and his arms folded over his chest. Dan still has suspicions about him, but knew he would have to let them rest for now...

...and a half-elf woman, whom held a babe in her arms and up to her. It seemed to be fussy at the moment, but she looked abit familiar to him, somehow...

...and then Dan looked to the bed, and saw his beloved Synful, laying there upon the sheets. As she looked up to him, with tears of happiness within her eyes, he was simply in a state of awe. Question after question came to him, "What had happened?", "How was she rescued?", and even more curious things to ask. As he stood there, with his eyes wide at her, she looked to him and pulled out his shield from within the bed's sheets. It was his mentor's shield, the very shield that inspired his fortitude to resist the kryss...

At last he could smile.

Synful sat up in the bed and looked to her beloved hero,"my love...,"she said rather tiredly,"I thought I had lost you...,"she said as she swung her legs over the side and slowly started to stand only to be stopped by her sister and Danie,"please Syn you must rest...,"Danie said softly as Syn shook her head,"no...I want to be in the arms of my lover and damn it none of you will stop me...,"she said as she used her sister's arm to stand up.

She knew Dan would want her to lay down but she also knew that he would want to hold her in his arms,"come on you two lets leave them alone...,"Silverflame said as he moved over and placed his hand on his lover's back pushing her towards the teleporter,"they have been apart way to long....,"he said as Annawen and Danie both nodded and teleported up to the second floor

"I thought I had lost you...,"she said as she lifted a hand up and caressed her lover's face gently,"I will never be away from you again my love...,"she said as she just laid her head on his chest and sighed happily abit unsure he would hold her as tightly as normal due to her being so weak.
