The figure wearing golden armor stepped into the room that appeared to be a jungle, took a step forward, and noticed a woman leaning against the wall, crying hysterically
"Whatsa matter, lass?" the figure spoke, his head lowered so that his floppy hat cast a shadow over his face.
Molly looked up, crying fiercly,
"Oh Elrios...Ragnar...Ragnar's dead!!"
Elrios walked over to her and she immediately threw herself into his arms, a trusted friend is exactly what she needed,
"Thar' thar'...what 'appened? Ol' Elrios's 'ere, ye can tell me..." he spoke, wrapping his arms around her tightly.
She told him about the dream she had involving Azreal, and how she awoke to find her husband's head next to her. After some time, a few of her friends came to find her very much the same as Elrios had found her.
Molly had filled her guild mates in between spasms of emotion with what had transpired.
"I...I can't go in there!" Molly said, pointing towards the door.
Elrios glanced around the room and saw that nobody made a move to the bedroom: his opportunity had come. Moving towards the door he scolded those around the room for being lazy.
Upon walking through the threshold, the smell of death filled the room. He enjoyed it. After glancing about the room he saw the severed head of Ragnar Teach, and stared it over with a sinister grin.
The door to what would have been a very pleasant bedroom had it not been for the horrific disembodied head opened and Elrios emegered holding a sack, and walked past Molly as she continued to cry into her hands. She looked up with a reddened face.
"Can Smogg fix him? Elrios, you have to take him to Smogg! Smogg will be able to save him!"
"Milady I 'avene't seen master Smogg since me retern, I...I'll make sure ye don't 'ave to see Ragnar like this...:
With that he walked through the transporter onto the ground floor of the house and chuckled to himself. He knew Smogg would be able to conjur something to aid Molly, but he shrugged and walked out the door and some ways into the woods, only to discard the head under a bridge. Then turned around and started back to the house, to console his woman. |

Dismissing all of them to serch for Azreal she sat in the elven garden as Elrios was returning. He told her he would speak to Smogg. This seemed to ease her some. Smogg was a necromancer after all. Why couldn't he bring Ragnar back to her?
Elrios told her he had some errands to run and insisted she get some rest and she nodded to him. He kissed her good bye and left her sitting in the chair. She slid from the chair to the grassy floor and sobbed quietly. As she lay there with the cool grass against her reddened cheeks she heard a bird flapping near by.
She looked up to see a pigeon sitting on the chair near her. She opened the note attached to it's leg. She must not have noticed it earlier as it was an old note reminding her of the corrination of Bailos in Sanctus.
Her jaw tightened as she thought to herself...He is a cohort of Azreal's I will go to this 'corination' and speak my mind.
She went to her room and got a grey formal dress and put it on. Mourning... tears formed in her eyes as she fought them back. Mourning for Ragnar and for Sanctus his blood brother's kingdom. Saddened at the thought of the wonderful times Ragnar, Talon, and even Shantel and she shared together. Her thoughts drift to helping Shantel with the birth of the twins. One big happy family, a time when life was sweet and unencumbered with pain. Then the breakup and more than just the family was torn appart, a kingdom and the children missing. Then the formation of the Kindom of hope...Sanctus. Ragnar's joyous years at Talon's side....appropriate to mourn she said to her self sadly. She mounted and traveled to the castle Blackguard. She was a little late but found a seat in the back.
She watched the farcical preformance by the 'new king' and the young woman from the inn and observed the ranking officers of Sanctus grumbling. Words were exchanged and she stood with them placing her spellbook in her had should there be need. No blows were thrown as they stood together.
Then a young man standing to the side spoke up and she looked at him. She blinked several times thinking she was seeing things. Elven features but he definately looked familiar. Perhaps a family resemblance she thought to herself. Talon...that is who he looked like...And could it be Shantel's son? she thought.
She listened to his every word from across the room. A small smile formed on her lips after all the trama of the day...perhaps there is some hope after all, she said as she focused on Bailos to make her statement to him.
With tears welling in her eyes, being still swolen from the tears of earlier she stepped forward. You and your bretheren have taken my husband from me and the Kindom of Sanctus from it's peoples. I will do everything in my power to stop you and your plans for Sanctus. You will pay for your crimes and the death of my husband will be paid by your Bretheren Azreal Lu'Rael.
She turned to the officers of Santus and made it clear she stood by them and would help with hand and sword, and vowed the help of her guild and the Royal Court.
They beconed her to come with them to another location where she had a moment to speak to the child she helped birth. A handsome young man who held the strength of his father in his heart. She then vowed to help with the bringing forth of the sleeping dragon. _________________ Grand Duchess Molly Kaldhel
