Standing in the southern-most corner of the home of Nicodemus, Corzan watched as both He and Maggy spoke to one another, embracing.
You are both in a false sense of safety here... especially you Nicodemus
Then, he heard it. He heard his name spoken. Maggy had told him.
No... she wouldn't do such a thing.
He looked at her in shock, almost losing control of the shadows which bound him to a realm of black and white.
How could she. I trusted her!
The envelop he had brought for Maggy was still sitting on the ground. He could only hope that the prize inside was undamaged.
It seems that my identity has been comprimised... well, there's only one thing to do now.
Unfortunatly, before he could pull his weapons from his belt, they both recalled off.
Very well... Then I shall keep this here for her.
Picking up the envelop from the ground, he quitly placed it onto the small writing table in the corner of the room. Written on a small piece of parchment read:
Dearest Maggy,
Inside this envelop is something very dear to me. I entrust it to you in good faith, and hope that you will wear it. Until next time my love, you will forever be on my mind.
Forever Watching,
C.S.

They had returned to Nico's to pick up a few things and go to a safe location for the night.
When they arrived she looked through the armoire for a change of clothing. As she turned she saw the glint of something sitting on the desk sparkling in the candlelight. She at first thought it was something of Nico's. She then realized it had not been there before. She walked to the desk. Nico spotted it at the same time and walked towards it. She picked it up and held it up to the candlelight. It was on a golden chain and there was something shaped like a crescent moon and it contained a red liquid.
She looked at Nico and said, It's the color of... blood.
He immediately said, Don't put it on!
She nodded and shuddered looking at the red liquid. She handed it to him.
He took it from her and examined it closely.
She looked at him her eyes widened some. If he was here when we talked before we left...he knows I told you. And he knows where we just went. He will be looking for us there. she said fearfully. She looked back at the desk and saw an envelope on the floor. It must have fallen from the desk she had surmised. She quickly picked it up and handed it to Nico to read to her, her hands were shaking. He read it to her and frowned.
He said We better hurry before he returns, it seems he is not giving up even though we have professed our love for each other in front of him and to his face.
Nico cast a gate and they both left for their hideaway and a night of safety far away from the stalker. |
