Stumbling through her doorway Brianha sat with a thud at the nearest table. “What a night” she sighed. “First my cousin gets her heart broken and then she finds me sitting there drunk with the very man that broke her heart…. Goodness I have some explaining to do” Laughing a little at herself “and now I am sitting here having a conversation with myself… I have lost my mind truly” Feeling a little more sober but still very much in the cups she stumbled her way up the stairs thinking of the nights events.

Thankfully Vaen had come back to the Freehold just as Claudette and Melior came back to see Brianha and Drayden sitting there drunk. He saved the awkwardness by taking them to a surprise destination…. It turns out to be the house he purchased for Bri and himself. Brianha was surprised and happy forgetting the situation at hand and just started to run through taking a peak in all the corners of the house and rummaging through what had been left. She was too occupied and too swayed by alcohol to notice any interaction between Claudette and Drayden.. eventually Claudette and Melior took there leave “ I shall have to remember to ask what happened” She had said to herself as she hugged her cousin goodbye for the eve. Vaen had also thought it best to get her home and so not long after all left she too was at her doorstep saying goodbye to Vaen for the night.

Finally reaching her garden after tripping several times on her way, she removed her boots and stuck her feet in the water surrounding her garden. Letting her head fall back she closed her eyes and began to think of the things she had been avoiding by drowning herself in wine. She was so confused by how she should feel with Vaen these days… after hearing of his past with other women she wanted to be angry and hurtful to him, but she had so far been unable to act this way to him.

“I must look like a fool, knowing what I know and still I run to his arms with a smile. What if he hurts me as he did the others? He says he is different now… but has he said that to each of them as well?” Shaking her head she continues to converse with herself. “ I can not deny the connection we have even now… without the feelings of my past I know we have something more than words can describe. I continue to be held by him even though I should be wary and protect my heart”

Opening her eyes she reaches down and pulls out the bandana Vaen had given her long ago. Gently she runs her fingers along the words on the inside of the bandana and begins to read it out loud “I lost a tear in the ocean. The day I find it is the day I stop loving you.” Smiling she keeps rereading it in her mind over and over again.

“I must no longer hide behind my loss of memory and the feelings that were with them… It is time to recapture all that I once had and be who I was meant to be no matter what path that takes me down… I am ready to take the chances in life again… I am ready to close this chapter.” And with that she gently folded the bandana and placed it back in her bodice. She slept that night under a quilt of stars feeling comforted that soon she will be feeling like someone instead of noone.
