Cat had finished hunting and decided to drop by the new tavern with Scribble and Rinoa for some ale and a nice chat. They gathered their ales and sat on the stools at the bar.

They chatted about the normal things three women would chat about. Clothes, men, good ale, men, house decorating, men and of course men. Rinoa was missing Draven , Scribble was talking about a hunting partner she was partial to and Cat was talking about a strong man she had seen hunting demons.

Cat grew hungry and went behind the bar searching for cookies. When she found them she picked up the pan, but her numb fingers forced her to drop them to the floor. She cried out more for the loss of the cookies then the strange feeling in her fingers. Scribble had been asking her about her clumsiness lately. Cat knew that the numbness she had in her fingers and toes was caused by that drow witch Faith. She knew some wicked spell had been inflicted upon her. She just didn’t know how to get rid of it.
She had hid it from Rinoa and Scribble as long as she could. She was afraid .If Scribble thought she was getting clumsy she would make her stop drinking her wine. What would cookies be without wine?
Cat saw Scribble leave with someone in a hooded cloak.

She didn’t know who it was but they were being very secretive.

She sat next to Rinoa at the bar and asked her to not tell Scribble what she was going to tell her. Rinoa didn’t answer she just sat and listened. Cat told her what happened with Faith that day. She told Rinoa about the numbness in her fingers and toes and how it was spreading. Cat told Rinoa she thought she was dying. Rinoa grew upset and told Cat that she had to tell Scribble, she couldn’t keep something like from her knowing how much Scribble cared for Cat.

Cat wasn’t listening to Rinoa , she was trying to tell Rinoa to remember to water her plants and to pay the pool boy after she was dead. Rinoa started to cry and ran out of the tavern.
Scribble returned and as Cat was sitting at the bar with her head down she heard Scribble talking to someone. Cat raised her head to see who it was but she didn’t recognize the lady. Cat was feeling very tired and feverish. She didn’t have the strength to serve the lady so Scribble did. The lady asked questions about Cat and then said she would cheer her with a song.

She began to sing in a chanting lilt, a song about a spider and its journey. It was a horrible song and the affects on Cat were just as horrible. Cat’s numbness began to travel throughout her body. She started to hallucinate that she was seeing spiders crawling on her. She started to go back in time and huddled in the floor in a ball to keep her father from beating her.
Scribble began to chant words Cat had never heard before. She chanted them at the lady who was singing until the lady stopped and vanished. But the pain was too intense for Cat. She felt needle like pricks all over her skin. She felt spiders crawling in her hair. She screamed for Scribble to get them off. Cat started to feel faint and fell from the stool to the floor. She lay screaming and yelling for Scribble. Scribble started a new chant this time it was stronger and louder. Cat could hear another chant, then recognized Aerie’s voice. Aerie was chanting too and casting something on Cat’s body.

Cat’s breathing became shallow and the chanting became louder. The numbness had reached all her limbs and was creeping towards her heart. She could hear the chanting and knew they were doing all they could to stop the pain. Cat could not bare the pain any longer.

She reached for Scribbles hand…. and stopped breathing.

Scribble's heart jumped to her throat and felt like a huge lump choking her. Scribble knelt beside Cat and pushed her braids from her face. Pinching Cat's nose Scribble told Aerie ," keep chanting" , leaned over and covered Cat's mouth with her own and gently blew air into Cat's lungs, murmuring her chant in a timed rythum and continuing to puff air into Cat's lungs.

Scribble placed her hands upon Cat's neck and felt for a pulse. There was none, she felt around some more, nothing. Quickly straddling Cat and hitting her very hard in her chest, Scribble covered a balled up fist with her other hand and pushed quickly in short counts on Cat's chest and leaned forward to give her another puff of air, motioning to Aerie to help. "Hold Cat's nose and breathe into her mouth like I did, dont stop chanting in between", Scribble told Aerie.

Cat's body relaxed and she was still, they kept working and chanting, Scribble felt Cat's neck again and there was a soft thumping. Put your ear to her mouth and see if she is breathing on her own.

After hearing a hysterical Rinoa crying about Cat going to die, and hearing Imoen slap Rinoa in the face and saying: "Come to your senses!!", Aerie had to rush to the new tavern in which Cat was attacked. She opened a portal she casted on the rune from Rinoa's runebook. After coming out of the portal, Aerie ran up the stairs. Hear heart raced to see Cat lying on the floor in a fit of terror. "Spiders!! Get them off me!! The are biting me!!", cried Cat.

Aerie also seen Scribble casting a banishment spell on the curse that was causing Cat pain. Aerie went to the other side of Cat and kneeled in prayer to her god to give her the magic to remove the curse. "Spiders", she thought. "Was this a drow curse?" Aerie shook off the thoughts and concentrated. She began to pray harder. As she began to chant, her body started to quiver as a rush of elven curative magic rushed through her limbs. The magic flowed down her arms and onto her hands. As a result, her hands began to glow a soft green hue.

Asking Scribble to remove Cat's tunic, Aerie focused all the Elven curative magic into her hands. When the tunic was removed to expose Cat's torso, Aerie applied her hands to her torso and concentrated. Her mind strained as she forced the magic to radiate from her hands. The green glow intensified. The magic began to flow from aerie's hands, into Cats torso and started to spread itself all over Cat's body. For a slight instant, It seemed that Cat would not survive. Aerie focused harder, her hands becoming more intense.

Scribble then applied her mouth to Cat's, trying to breath life to her. Cat finally began to breath. Aerie began to smile as she continued her work. The green glow, at this point, had spread across Cat's body, giving Cat a temporary green Aura. Aerie's magics began to take affect, removing the toxins from the body. Now Aerie was confident that Cat would survive. Cat became fully awake, as Scribble hovered over her. Aerie was exhasted. "Drow curses, why do they have to be so hard to remove?" She thought to herself. Aerie then departed after helping Scribble get Cat to a comfortable seat. "I must go, but make sure nothing else harms this poor woman." Aerie then opened a portal to home.
