Krasinski gingerly replaced his ink-stained pen within the enameled holder upon his desk. A pleased look crossed his face as he gazed at the intricate beauty of his writing, nearly an art unto itself. Quite aside from their appearance, however, this collection of symbols represented the next step in Krasinski’s rebirth in this foreign land. The smug mage uttered a simple incantation as he placed several blank parchments near his completed work. Within mere moments Krasinski’s work had been copied in exacting detail on each. The time had come for the fringe to come to fore.

Gathering the various papers together, Krasinski stepped onto a nearby teleportation pad. The familiar feeling of a magical transfer surrounded him, his private study faded, and the stable beneath appeared. Several meters away the Marshal on duty snapped to attention, “Shall I prepare your mount milord?”

“Yes, that would be most welcome. Be quick if you might, I am off to deal with some business.” Krasinski stated with the practiced tone of a benevolent monarch. His words has the intended effect, Berthier was soon saddled and ready to depart. “Please pass the word round to be on watch. I am not sure what effect my little announcement may have. If anyone comes offering violence, offer it in return.” Krasinski smiled encouragingly.

Krasinski recited an incantation, watched the stable wink out of existence, and promptly materialized in front of Moonglow Bank. Fetching a tack from his saddle bag, he dismounted and walked up the public posting board. A small smile crossed his refined features. This little announcement would no doubt cause a stir among the power players of the land. Nothing, however, could be done to prevent that now. With a strong sense of fatalism in mind he secured the parchment to the board for all to see.

“Good people of Britannia, darkness and villainy surround us. In Lord British’s absence the land has strayed from the path of lawful conduct and is suffering for it! Despite the best intentions and efforts of the powers that be the realm continues in its downward spiral. The time for a restoration has come.”

“Be on notice that this day marks the establishment of a reformed Britannian Court of Justice. Operating under the assumed auspices of Lord British, and applying his Eight Virtues, the three judges of this Court will provide the realm once more with the benefits of a lawful tribunal. If you truly seek justice, not as dictated by a faction or guild, but rather by the King’s own law, the Court will fill this need.”

“Please be advised that any correspondence to the Court should be directed to the following courier: 292569104. Be well and walk with Virtue.”
