|
Nazralte was visiting a few fellow guild members at the Hostel, laughing at Galathan and McDerry's antics, chatting with Phantom and Tatiana Alexi about some of the current events, when he heard some commotion coming from the front of Blackgard castle. So he walks on over and stands near Mark Randerstill and a couple other Humanis members and listens in on Baron Morgegan giving a speech to the rest of the Order of Sanctus.
"...so from here on out", he exclaims, "All members of the Dark Order are to be killed on sight."
"Thats interesting" Naz thinks to himself.
"This means that if you see a member of the Dark Order, no matter where he or she may be, you are to attack and kill them."
Nazralte looks over to Mark and says "I hope he doesn't think they will be fighting on Moonglow."
"They don't understand land boundries but thier own", Mark replies. "They seem to think they can go anywhere and do as they please."
Nazralte laughs a bit to Mark's statement. "I hope for thier sake they don't. I would hate to see what I'd have to do if I did catch them fighting on Moonglow's soil."
With that Nazralte walked off to tell his Captain Galathan the news about Sanctus's decree. He enjoyed the rest of his night with his fellow guild members and as he headed home after a nice evening, he called for a messenger.
"Take this to Queen Sarah in Nujel'm. She will want to hear of this new decree from Sanctus." Naz tells the message boy. "And let her know that Moonglow will also be watching out for activity on Nujel'm as well.
"Yes sir." the boy said and rushed off to catch the next boat to Nujel'm. _________________

After a few chalices of vino, and mirthful laughter compliments of Galathan and McDerry, the evening was truly refreshing. It was definitely great to be home again, and away from her mundane lessons of music. One could only stomach so many lectures on the proper techniques of holding a harp for so long, before one could not dare so much as look at another stringed instrument again. Yet, despite that being under the careful examination of renowned minstrel was something to be proud of, it could in no way overshadow watching as McDerry was chained to the lamppost in front of the hostel by a female that he had just met- or listening to Galathan boast of his peach scented, golden locks. A pleasant sigh fell across her lush lips, as she gazed to her comrades and set her chalice across from a nearly empty bottle of wine. It were at these moments in time where she realized that she was at peace, despite the chaos that typically clouded around these parts of the land.
However, her brief revere seemed to be cut short as she found herself overhearing the seriousness in the General’s tone to the gathering men. It were at this time, where she would rise, and forsake the tantalizing liquid refreshment that kept the hilarity of the evening in motion. {..But, for only a short while, as there would be another full bottle to await her upon return.} And with a sobering gaze, and carefully folded hands behind her back, she would then find herself listening intently to the many warriors speaking on such a horrific decree. Yet, her main focus was kept on the General’s words, for it were those very words that would impact her, and Moonglow alike. Granted, despite not being of the militia, death upon the soil of Moonglow would come to reflect upon her, soldier or not. But, with stoic expressions she did find herself wondering why such travesties were not pondered upon or at least briefly discussed within the Conservatory of Music. One would simply gather that Gabriel Piete had spent a life sheltered from the realities of the terms of war that soldiers were faced with. And, perhaps in truth, she too has also been sheltered to some degree with the only expectations in times like these were to entertain, and keep the warriors and mages alike sedated with the pleasures of music.
With eyes of both awe and respect, she would simply await any further course of action that the General would decide to take. Although, within the depths of her most private thoughts she would still in fact worry, as she always did. ‘Twas something about a bloodied Galathan that never could settle right within her perfected world, even if he were hardly ever injured. Just the thought of it, however, would've set the hairs upon the back of her neck on end, if it were not for the simplicity of being devoid of such body hair. Although the crowds would soon subside, and her heals would inturn pivot and find herself back to a candle lit table with another bottle of vino ....much like any ordinary day. |
