Dear Reader,

Many months ago, my band and I did a job for The Order of the Ebon Skull. We slaughtered half the forest of those damn tree fiends, and were suppose to be paid for it. Your Order skipped payment, numerous of times, and avoided me. I left for a while-took a nice long trip.

I'm back now, and want my payment. The price was 25,000 gold pieces. 1000 gold pieces per tree that was cut down, and we cut down 25. I'll be coming by to collect soon.

To the plaintiff,

I can so vaguely recall the afformentioned incidence. Assuming you can prove that you did in fact cut down 25, as we have no record of ever receiving the proof, I will gladly cut the check personally.

Should you produce the necessary evidence, I may only be reached through the City Offices of Umbra and rather indirectly at that. I am sorry if this matter cannot be resolved more satisfactorially but I think we can both agree that we are bound to proof.

I respect your wish for proof. I would do the same, if I were in your position. I still have the boards that were collected from the trees, I'll be sure to drop in and find you. However, a check cut by yourself personally means nothing to me, unless I know who you are.

I merely sent this letter, hoping to find the man I spoke with before. If you are him, I do not recall an impaticular name.
