The rotting raven swooped down towards, where ever Toren was. Cawing loudly it stopped just low enough for him to reach it's leg. Upon the parchment, it read:

Toren,

Attached to this letter is the pinky finger of Sadira Reflov. I send this to you, only as a warning. You struck against myself, and spoke negatively against Lord Levas.

If I catch you in Umbra again, or near Lord Levas, I will execute you or those closest to you. I will strike you where it hurts the most. Not only the seperation of your limbs from your torso, but those of your closest friends as well. Look how easily I got her.

This is your only warning.

(signed)

Dormack Shander, Knight of Reaping.

Toren unraveled the letter and slipped the finger into his pocket. He read over the letter slowly and nodded. He took up a quill and paper.

Dormack,

Firstly, I am unsure as to who this 'Levas' is but he is certainly no lord of mine. Second, I find your terms unacceptable, though will comply. Your lord Bailos has allready requested I stay away from Umbra. I do so out of respect I hold for him.

Perhaps you should over think the situation a bit more before sending a threat, next time.

I trust you'll not pester me with such things again.

Toren Smythe

He then pulled out a second piece of parchement and set to write a seond letter.

Sadria,

I appologize for missing the openning of your inn, but it was for reasons my own. Also, I have been sent your finger. I am unsure if you would like it back, but should you please tell me.

Sincerly,

Toren

Dormack started cackleing after he read the message from Toren.

"He thinks he's worthy of acting tough against me? He tried that once, and didn't last long enough to beg for mercy. Perhaps next time the young one will rethink he's replies towards those superious to him." Dormack continued cackleing as he strolled through Umbra.
