Nadia sat at her desk in the dimly lit room, her head bent over a candle and book. She read and smiled. Wishbone came over to stand behind her.
Moving her raven hair to one side he looked down at the book on the table.
Nadia breathed a heated sigh,” I am so sure I have this correct. This book was passed down through the women in my family. The women seem to be the only ones that survive.” At the last remark she grinned wickedly looking up at Wish’s face. He gave her a lazy grin of his own and continued to look at the book.
Nadia continued.” My grandmother added things to the book and completed others. Now it is my turn. I am almost positive I have everything I need.”
Nadia closed the book and stood from the chair in a fluid movement. She walked around the chair to stand close to Wish. He looked down into her dark eyes wondering what she was up to now. She smiled sweetly and he knew he was in for it.
Wish touched her cheek,” Alright, what is it you want? Your seductive ways don’t work on me. If you want me to perform a task for you, just say so. “
Nadia laughed lightly and put her arms around his neck,” Are you sure my ways don’t work on you?”
Wish smiled a wicked smile,” Only if I want them to.”
Nadia abruptly took her arms down and changed the mood in an instant from hot to cold.
She walked to the small room off of her bed chamber and looked at all the work that needed to be done. She smiled back at Wish,” I need a test subject, an alchemist and some time.”

Wish left for Nadia’s house and was taken to her lab. She told him she had what they needed for the potion she wished to make. All she needed was someone who could work liquids and someone to test it on.



Nadia agreed with his idea and gave him a piece of parchment and told him to take down what he needed.

Wish left Nadia's room in search for one with the skills in alchemy. The first place he went to look was in Moonglow, the city of magic. He went into a local magician shop and found a middle aged man in dark red. He was carefully filling flasks with different liquids when Wish walked up to him. Wish put on his best “light bringer” act (as much as it pained him to) and asked him nicely if he wouldn’t mind to help a friend of his. He told him Nadia’s location and what she required for her “recipe”.

As the man left with his equipment, Wish began his search for a test subject. It didn’t take long before the man reached Nadia’s house. He was invited in and taken to her lab.



He listened to her every word... and believed it all. He tried to ask questions as he mixed the ingredients but she gave him excuses about why she couldn’t tell. Things like “It’s only known in my family,” or “If I told you, I’d have to kill you,” in a joking manner so he would not get nervous.

He finally finished his work and handed her the potion.



She thanked him and paid him for his services and sent him on his way. She played him like a harp and he didn’t know what the potion did. That was the last thing she would have wanted. She clenched the potion in her cold hands and waited on Wish to return with his idea on a test subject.
