He quietly lay on the bed in the corner. Taking a deep breath he tried to comprehend what had happened to him the past few days. All was a mass of memories and noise. Nothing making complete sense. He could recall the orders of his dying lord and best friend of years past. " I have named you as the new leader." "Lead in mine stead.""I'm not long of this world."

It seems as if only moments have passed when it's been days. He's not eaten or slept since that dreadful day. But a new hope fills him. upon his return from the front, he finds that all things are in order. A lady of stature has ruled in his stead. Ellysia is her name. He finds her fascinating and with complete control of all the chaos. She has much information to share with him. A teacher of sorts. She weeps for her lost lover. A sadenning tale was told. But his lord died with honor. He said this. He feels the loss as well. Where will he go from here? How will he fill that which he does not completely understand?
