|
It truely amases me that those that claim to be all rightous and virtous are only so when it suits them or their needs. I thought those that followed the virtues did so every moment of each day of their pathetic little existance. But it seems to be not the case.
There are some within the Regency that hold no justice or honor. Much like those hypocrites the Legion of Justice whose very name speaks of irony. Their following of the virtues are as about as fickle as a mongbats life span.
After taxes were paid to use our training grounds, and as we were departing, an arrest of an indivual was needed after his insulting remarks. We then departed peacefully.
And then after having so little valor and honor that those that were present there, even though they out numbered us already, had to run and ask for aid from the Legion and House Guantlet to come to our lands, insult, break laws, attack, kill, and free a prisoner.
Respect. None. For those so "peaceful" and wanting order and peace...why are they so quick to follow chaos and war? It seems they are very selective on a good many things. We did not insult in return, we did not show signs of aggression, we only followed those laws we have placed upon the lands we keep orderly and at peace. People that follow these so-called virtuous should think more on why they do so.
Choose to follow no Valor, Honor or Justice. Choose to show us no repect regardless of being enemy's, then I shall return the favor. No longer will I wait for those to attack us on our lands. Those that were there that night and participated in helping the so-called "light" and "virtuous" will be dealt with.
And so I call forth a decree. Unless those that attacked are handed over to us to be imprisoned until judgment and most likley public execution for their crimes, then any of the following guilds spotted by Dark Order will hereby be arrested, attacked or killed depending on their Immediate reaction.
=L=, H*G, =B=
Any associated with TM will be arrested for their insults and charges of spying.
Any that wish to bring me the people associated with the above list, alive, will recieve a ten thousand gold reward.
The Regency will after a given time be fully an enemy and under this decree unless the one known as Tai, is handed over to later be publicly executed for his crimes and actions against us and our peaceful land. There will be no comprimises only further action.
It was one thing to be an enemy in Yew fighting for a side you believe to be right, it is another story to choose to be so in our own land.

His arms crossed over his chest, he leaned casually against the Minoc bank wall. His eyes closed ever so gently, he listened to the town crier announce the notice sent through out the lands. The finishing bit caught his ear, the name and the Order.
"Tarothin Armunn,
The Dark Knight
The Dark Order"
The town crier rolled up the parchment and marched away. Beowulf chuckled slightly thinking back to the days he supported these laws. He pushed himself off the wall with his foot and strode down the road. Muttering a spell he disappeared into the air.
The scent of the lake filled his nostrils, he glanced over to his side staring at Dark Cove water. Looking straight ahead of him again he stepped on to his porch towards the door. He made his way inside and to his room.
"Tarothin is enforcing yet again, more laws on his so called land? He threatens to kill, arrest, or attack those of =L= and other guilds?"
He grabbed his Legion badge from his bedside table. Now inscribed with "Legionary". He stuck it on his tunic and smirked slightly.
"Yet I still live on this lands, unharmed. I still hold friendship with some of those in The Order. Tarothin thinks he can run me out, or intimidate the Legion?"
Beowulf turned his neck right and left, cracking the bones. He stepped on his magical tile and appeared on his roof. Walking across to stand at the front over looking Dark Cove he thought to him self.
I plan to move soon...but before that I will take care of needed buisness in these lands. This won't involved those of The Legion, nor those of the virtues. Taro and the order has risen against The Legion, but I will not bother them with this small task. It's time to mix the old with the new, and get things done the right way. Those who had harmed, and tried to harm Tati have been taken care of. No harm was given to any of them, it was done peacefully.
This problem however won't be so easy.
Bring on the pain.
He took in a deep breath, yelling loudly across Dark Cove. "If you want to punish a Legion member, here I am Tarothin! You and your order won't arrest, nor kill anyone on your so called lands, as long as I stand!" |

Mithaniel nearly fell over, having seen a notice tacked up near one of the bulletin boards his reports are posted on. Perhaps walking and reading and not noticing an opened door in front of you are a bad combonation. After the run-in with the door, and dealing with a man apologising to him, he quickly read over the notice, thinking at first it was a rival reporter. But no, this had to do with the other part of Mithaniel's life; the guild he had devoted himself to: The britannian guard.
After quickly scanning the entire decree, Mithaniel muttered some rather uncivilized words, and decided against ripping down the notice. After all, another Britannian Guard member or one of the Legion might miss it, and fall into a world of trouble because of it. Bad idea.
Mithaniel adjusted his guard sash, and walked boldly to work, hoping to run into some Dark Order members that challenged his virtue. _________________

Several native Umbrans stared oddly at Marek as he laughed as loud as he did after reading the notice.
Now THAT is a foolish thing to do. Challenge their virtue and they'll tear you to pieces, thought Marek.
Marek wandered off chuckling, enjoying how deep a grave Tarothin had just dug for himself. _________________

Rachel stepped back from the parchment with a slight grin on her face.
"Tarothin, the one who aids the Orcs, and the Skulls feels he is one to judge others who are followers of the virtues, does he? What does he know of Justice?" She shook her head with a laugh as she continued to walk the streets of Minoc.
"Come Tarothin, teach me what Justice means to you. What Justice means to a child." _________________ I'm not like you I'm not like them

Max had just finished restocking his reagents in Vesper when he caught sight of the decree tacked up from Tarothin. “Decree, huh? Sounds more like a wanted notice to me” Max mused as he chuckled to himself.
Sitting back at home a short time later Max was thinking about how best to handle this situation with the Dark Order with the rest of the ALV. “Hmmmmm…while we weren’t listed on Tarothin’s decree I’m sure Lady Lia must have recognized me last night. Perhaps she was protecting us for some reason? She could be hesitant to turn in Vesper neighbors, or just maybe I was not noticed by anyone.” Max thought as he smiled.
Shrugging, he resumed the task of restocking his backpack. “I suppose I should let the rest of the League know to stay far away from Dark Cove and avoid the Dark Order at all costs for a while.” Finishing up what he was doing Max strolled downstairs and posted the message on the board for the guild to take note of. |

After reading this new post Smiticles could only laugh to himself and wonder how anyone could be so foolish as to bring such trouble upon himself as this Dark Order has done. Never really considering himself "virtuous", all the same Smiticles considers himself Just and Honorable. Tis one of the reasons he agreed with Max when it was suggested the ALV join the Northern Alliance.
Having travelled a great deal Smiticles has had dealings with many different sorts. Those of the Legion he knows are honorable and just. In those same travels he has seen and heard of the "laws" and the "order" of that place called Dark Cove. To acheive Order through dominance and intimidation is simply Facism disguised as Order. Smiticles knows within his heart that such "Order" is not only unjust but unhonorable. Too imprision a citizen for following his own way and not the way of the"order" is tatamount to a crime against justice. Not having heard of this rescue until the posting of this notice, Smiticles can only commend those rescuers for pursing what is truely "honorable", the freeing of a soul from Tyranny.
Smiticles could care less if someone challenges his virture but he takes great exception to a challenge of his honor and the honor of those he rides with. For virtue and honor are entirely different creatures and it sometimes takes a person with less virtue than others to perform the necessary in the quest for justice.
"There is good and then there is bad and I don't have to be a lightbringer nor a virtuous person to do what I know to be good and just", He thought to himself.
Having read Max's warning to the ALV Smiticles did, in deed, intend to watch his back. But then again he would have at all time anyway. But heading his friends warning he could only think to himself that A guantlet has been tossed upon the ground in the face of Justice. As it lands in a clatter in front of the feet of Justice Smiticles calls to mind his own motto for strength..."Any Fate but Submission"
Thinking to himself,
"I shall uphold my honor and I shall help defend those who know what is just and right in this world through any fate and with out submission!" |

Having read the notice, BadMoon chuckled to himself, and leand against the bank wall waiting for the right momment. When no one was in sight, he removed a quill and some ink from his pouch, and preceeded to draw a characture of a rounded bloob with four arms, wringing its hands and crying, in an blank area near the bottom of the notice. Looking at his work, he thought, "damn, looks like a giant blueberry!" BadMoon quickly added the words, "Death to all Tryants!" across the bottom. Satisfyed with his graffiti, he grinned to himself and stepted back into the shadows.... |

Going throught the weekly collection of notices tacked to the Abbys walls Tir'Og sorted them with a critical eye and a light hand. His bum wipe supply was empty and crusty leather scrapes simply didn't cut it after he had felt the softer swish of minced Regency paphlets.
But then his eye caught a different set of words in the pile.
"Ey, wud am dis? Diz nub elbie blab.. diz am... Um.."
Not being the strongest point of his, bashing and random homicide seeming much more practical, it was several painfully drawn out minates before he felt he'd sucessfully decoded the odd marks on the paper.
"Dat Taro demu nam rite! Orcs been blabin awl dat blab fer yeers! Dum humies atakin uz, makin id seem lik id UZ whu am baddah!" Fully enraged and all thoughts of bum wipe forgotten the Orc began to list the hypocrasy and brutallity of the so called "Lightbringers" against his people. Murdering innocent runts who really can't hurt anyone, jumping up and waving thier super magical swords at the least remark, even amassing fourty "enemies of conviance" guild with no ties to the lands of Yew to invade honestly ruled Orc lands!
Now it seems that these "Virtous" scum had decided, drunk off their own corrupt power, to unjustly attack another people just trying to defend thier land. Tir'Og would not stand for it.
With a strange glowing feeling deep in the most squishy part of his savage soul, Tir'Og picked up his mace and went off to fight for justice. _________________ For the last time Tir'Og! "Dat toopid humie dezerbed id" is NOT grounds for justafiable homacide.

Vaen looked at the notice and chuckled lightly to himself.
"If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times. Justice is all about the results. The means to get there hold no relevance."
Vaen put his back to the notice and spoke a little more.
"Perhaps that is just my view of Justice, and as it may be a little chaotic, it works. If you mix Justice with Honesty and Honor, you get a flawed system of Justice. It just doesn't work. Sometimes one must be dishonorable to uphold Justice. Sometimes one must lie in order to uphold Justice. Does he not realize that his definition of Justice is different from our definition of Justice? There is no wrong in our definition, and there is no wrong in his. We just see things differently. However, my interpretation of Justice is far more efficient than his. After all, we are the Legion of Justice, and we are not the Legion of Honorable, Honest, Spiritualistic Justice-seeking Men. We are simply, the Legion of Justice."
Vaen nodded to himselef and then walked off. _________________

As Mallory was putting up her holiday notice, she noticed another bulletin and stopped to read it. She skimmed over it and was shocked by what she read. How could someone justify imprisoning someone for something he thought or said?? True, the man had said the blue monster looked like a blueberry... but what is so wrong with speaking the truth. Besides, this man writes falsehoods, for none of the Minstrels there insulted him. I asked if he didn't know how to use the magic red hole, cause I just learned myself not all that long ago, but he should not have been insulted by that. And thinking the Minstrels are spies? Mallory giggled to herself. "Perhaps they thought my dough held some majicks of Mister Poet." Now she realized why Mister Poet had said to stay out of Dark Cove though. It is too bad, she thought, they would have enjoyed the party I think. She shrugged and continued on her way leaving her sign posted next to the other.... _________________ Good friends are like stars. You don't always see them but you always know they are there...

While walking through the city of Luna, Porthos spied a notice on the wall signed by Tarothin of the Dark Order. "Now there is the pot calling the kettle black" he mused. "He does everything as it suits his needs under the guise of order, and yet has the gall to complain about others" he muttered under his breath. Porthos walked away and disappeared into the darkness of the cool Luna night.

Maelwyn stepped back from the notice board, troubled. More fighting on the land, more death. Twas really a shame. More destroying of Lord Oaks' gift of life. Sighing, she turned to walk back home.
When will they all realize there is no reason to fight? Are we not all the same, underneath it all? There must be peace in this land. Else, the true enemies would quickly sieze control. While they attack each other, and become weak.. life will be corrupted. Is not OES quickly working toward undoing Life, already? They were merely awaiting the opportune moment, she knew.
How can you stand together to preserve the life of the world, when you cannot stand together in the same room? |

As CJ related the words of Taro to her she smirked. "Well he is going down! Talk of virtues from the blue daemon’s mouth! That is a laugh! I knew from the minute that he returned that it was all a rouse. He has not changed nor will he ever! I may be blind but I will see to it he is kept in check. I will contact the Royal Court of Light membership and see what kind of forces we can raise. They will not take any of our members for trail without a fight!"
CJ nodded and grinned as he was making a list of needed supplies for the troops under his command.
She sent out many pigeons to the membership of the Court and to her guild members. One of warning and of preparations to meet this treat head on. _________________ Grand Duchess Molly Kaldhel
