i pulled out a piece of parchment from my drawer and to began writing a letter that would forever change my life.




Dear Molly,
I have recieved word of your particular situation. I have met you but only once in my life and it was only in passing. I have lived life moving from one place to another not caring much about others. the day i learned of your sight being lost because of a battle that is to protect my homeland i must insist that you accept my offer and allow me to give to you of my own free will a gift of my sight.

Dear Sir eagledreamer,

Although I greatly desire to have my sight returned, I could not in good conscience ask anyone to loose what I so value in life. Please understand that I am saying this because it would not be virtuous of me to accept someone else's vision for my own.

There must be another way to accomplish this spell without the other party loosing something so priceless. I am seeking other means to this end. Should I find there is no alternative I would rather remain blind than take something that does not belong to me and leave the other party lacking.

It is an honorable offer and I thank you with all my heart, but this offer I can not accept. I am most appreciative of your kindness.
