Dragoona sat at the Vesper docks thinking about the prior night at Poet's Garden. There was all this strange new stuff, odd clothing, a really short table, and most importantly, odd red soup sat on the table. It smelled so.. different! She had to have it, but nobody knew where the things came from originally. After asking around, she found out it came from shipments at Britain and Vesper. She was told of a house just outside of Umbra that sold these strange new things, unfortunately they did not have the soup.
She tipped her hat up slightly and rubbed her forehead, noticing the hat felt different, and remembered about the new hat she bought. At Poet's this man had a hat that looked like a tall straw hat, but without the tall straw part! The entire hat was like a cone, it looked so odd, but interesting. The man wasn't very useful in telling her where to get a hat like it, but a friendly short girl told her to go to Umbra! Indeed, that's why she went to Umbra, to get a hat like this. It was well worth sneaking through Ebon Skull territory (how sneaky she was!), she had a cone hat of her own now! Grinning, she stroked the hat, amused by its oddness.
Regaining her train of thought, she remembered she was thinking about the odd soup and began to play back the prior day's events in her mind once more. When she returned to Poet's after buying the hat, there was soup there... Odd soup... And the merchants selling these odd objects didn't have soup. She must get this soup. To do this, she had to find out where all of this stuff came from.
Dragoona got up from sitting on the dock and looked around for a merchant. The merchants might not be willing to talk about where they got the stuff, how to convince them to talk... The claw gloves! She bought claw gloves too, they had big metal claws on them that were sharp.. But a chunk of wood was still stuck to one of the gloves after she tried slicing a table with it. The glove wouldn't be useful until she managed to get the wood chunk off it. Perhaps violence was a bad solution anyways, all it would accomplish would be attracting the attention of the guards.
For a moment she considered posing as a soldier or guard for the Ebon Skull and approaching the merchants at the house outside Umbra, however realized this would be a BAD idea despite how curious she was. And Zero was busy practicing an art Dragoona simply refered to as 'wretchedry', she couldn't get her to inquire at the merchant house for her. This left one option, sneak around and try to overhear the merchants talking. Dragoona walked in between two buildings and began lurking. This soup would be hers. |
