After finding some quiet time Sarah goes to her study and looks out at the dark night. So much has happened and there is so much to be done. Seeing Rufus awake was the answer to her prayers and sacrifices to the Goddess. Najm was hard to put to bed this eve and was probably still up somewhere in the palace with his father.

"But for now I will let them be, I have some business that can be mixed with pleasure," she quietly mumbles to herself. Taking out her finest parchment and the blackest of ink, Sarah begins to pen an invitation.

Greetings My Lord Leshok Majere, Overseer of Stormhaven and gentle lord,

It would be an honor for the Sultana of the Nujel’m Empire to be your hostess for a private dinner at the Summer Palace. Shall we say, Wednesday of this week at 10 bells of the night watch, if that is convenient for you.

Please send word that this is appropriate for you and I will make all things ready for your welcomed stay.

May the Virtues Protect,
Sarah DeFiona Oryan, Sultana of the Empire of Nujel’m

Softly blowing on wet ink she puts back her quill and takes the parchment to the window. She carefully re-reads her words then looks out the open window towards the night sea. Sealing the invitation with her waxed seal, Sarah rings the bell cord for the guard. Only moments pass before she is greeted with an eager courier to dispatch her correspondence. Her footsteps take her back to the open window and there she watches the moonshine on the wave caps as they roll onto shore. Meditating upon all that has happened and all the may occur.

Leshok opened the letter with a raised eyebrow as he read it.

"Hmm, Lady Sarah, isn't she the wife of Rufus?" he asked himself. Leshok scratched his chin, wondering what a woman he was sure he hadn't met would want to meet with him for. He shrugged sat down and wrote a response.

"To M'lady Sarah, Sultana of Nujel'm,

It would be my great pleasure to attend such a meeting, the time you have requested is one I can easily make. I look forward then to wednesday. Until then, may the virtues guide thy path.

-Leshok Majere
Overseer of Stormhaven.
