**Posted randomly on trees on the border of Dark Order territory, as well as Dark Cove bank, the gates to inner Dark Cove and at the Command Center.**

DARK ORDER LAWS OF THE LAND

1. Thou shall not disrespect any soldier of the Dark Order. Penalty is 10 gold fine or they are to be arrested with 30 gold bail.
2. Thou shall stand aside to let a dark lord to pass. Penalty is 12 gold fine or they are to be arrested until publicly whipped. Unless a bail of 35 gold is paid.
3. Thou shall not kill or harm any of the Dark Cove citizen/peasant unless given specific allowance by an officer to do so. Penalty is 8 gold fine or arrested with a 20 gold bail.
4. Thou shall not steal from any in our lands. Penalty is arrest with a 50 gold bail. Will be noted within the jail logs, and multiple times will increase the bail by 50 gold. After five times, the penalty is execution.
5. Thou shall not liter on our land. Penalty is 5 gold fine and must be made to pick up what they dropped. Failer to do so is arrest with a 20 gold bail.
6. Thou shall not kill any of the Dark Lord’s deer or chicken. Penalty is 30 gold fine or they are to be arrested with a 60 gold fine. Citizens that commit this crime will be arrested, publicly whipped, and their family taxed double that tax period.
7. Failer for citizens to provide taxes, will result in arrest until tax and a 200 gold fine is paid. Think of your children before wishing to not pay taxes.
8. Preaching virtues or laws that are in direct disagreement with the Dark Order’s belief’s or laws will result in a 20 gold fine and an escorted removal of the person from Dark Order lands.
9. If any merchant that wishes to sell their wares on our lands, will need first pay for a permit, and give one gold for each item sold. Failer to do so will result in confiscation of their merchandice and arrest with a 60 gold bail. Merchandice may be returned if the merchant pays 5 gold per item he was to sell. Be warned that wares are easily lost.
10. Thou shall not attack any Dark Order soldier under penalty of death.
11. Caught without a permit or pass will result in double the permits payment as a fine.
11. A soldier caught not enforcing these will be disciplined as their higher ranking officer see’s fit.

Any fines not paid will result in arrest. Any that wish to resist arrest will be executed. More laws may be added at any time by Lord Tarothin Armunn.

To purchase a permit or pass, one must immediately when entered into Dark Order territory to seek out a soldier to purchase one from.

Permits or passes to purchase:
- Fishing – 5 gold per day
- Mining – 8 gold per day
- Travel – 10 gold per day. Declared allies need not pay this.
- Hunting – 5 gold per day and permission by a dark lord depending on what it is you wish to hunt.
- Woodcutting – 4 gold per day
- Selling of Ware's - 40 gold per day

Declared enemies of the realm will not be able to purchase any of these pass’s or permits. They are forwarned entering Dark Order territory without a pre-arrangment and an escort.

As a cloud drifted across the moon, a shadow detached itself from a concealed position at the base of a large tree and silently approached another of the trees along the Cove border, on which the new "Laws" had been posted. Carefully rermoving the parchment as he had done to many others this night, the shadow added several words, obscuring the majority of previous text, before reposting the parchment. Standing back to admire his work for a momment, the shadow siliently mouthed the words so boldly added to the announcement, "DEATH TO ALL TRYANTS!" Satisfied, he rejoined the shadows, as the moon reappeared from behind the clouds...
