The Royal Court of Light: (Northern and Central Malas)
The Royal Court of Light is to be guided by feudalistic virtue. It will be based on the royal ranking system and is meant to serve as a true working government for land usage discussions, event and promotional community activities, fellowship and friendly communication on a general scale, and perhaps military movements and action.
Guilds that chose to act within the body of the RCL will be expected to maintain a high level of polite etiquette, respect their fellow members, keep their sword or offensive magery or arcane powers at stay, and listen as well as speak on productive non-abrasive matters, and above all respect the virtues.
The RCL will be based out of either The Avatar’s throne room in Luna or Sanctus. The capitol of the RCL will be Luna City.
The short term objective of the RCL is to unite and help to establish said doctrine and perfect the guidelines so that the operation of the council might achieve a high level of activity and community participation.
The long term goals of the RCL are to maintain friendship and help guide it’s members, large or small into a bond of respect for each other, order, and if need be, protect one another from harm, assist in teachings, contribute to the betterment of Malas, and bring all together to learn and meet in kind from the other.
Guidelines for conduct during meetings:
-Do not speak whilst one has the floor, opportunity will be given, and there is no need for unproductive outbursts whether verbal or otherwise.
-Virtue, and the 8 virtues will be respected, this is something we all work at and if one is lead astray, help will be provided to those that are willing and in need.
-From the weakest member to the strongest member, all will be heard, and all will be treated with kindness and the utmost respect.
- The representative need not be the guild leader but must be able to vote for their guild if a vote is called.
-Approval for membership will be determined by vote with the chairperson having veto powers.
- Removal will be held in the exact same manner as acceptance, and must be based on fact with the exception of attendance. Removal after repeated absences amounting to 6 missed meetings in a period of 2 months without reason or cause stated.
-Regarding attendance:
·In order to call a vote there must be a motion and a second,
and then there would be a vote. There must be a quorum
there of at least 1/2 the membership in order to have a vote.
·Issues dealing with the Chairman directly the chairman can
not veto. The chairman can vote in that case but he/she can
not use his veto powers. (This is to protect the body of the
government from a chairman that needs to be removed from
leadership)
·Rather than removal, if three consecutive meetings are
missed, a suspension of voting privileges is given until a 2
week consecutive attendance is reached.
-These basic guidelines are subject to change by discussion or vote. The
Chairperson will not have veto powers in this regard, but may choose the form of change be it by verbal query, unanimous approval, majority, formal court, or any combination their-of.
In serving each other we serve ourselves.
The first, charter meeting of the RCL is to be announced once it’s founding members have come to an agreement.
