Beowulf spent the most of his day pondering his plans for the evening. Pacing back and forth he thought of special places to take her on their date. He walked over to a chest and opened it he began placing things into it, stools, food, wine, water, and a blanket.
"Perhaps I should take her to the cave in ilsh, aye the one with the small water fall inside. Than I can take her to the pillars to finish the night off."
Beowulf sat in his chair over looking the paper work on his messy desk. His heart was beating faster than it usually was. Palms sweaty, knees weak, arms were heavy, he stood from his chair and caught a dove. He quickly read the letter over and smiled contently to himself.
"Shes ready, here goes...everything." he said outloud to himself.
He checked his pockets for the ring and made sure it was secured in his pocket. Picking up the chest full of the items for their picnic he placed it in his magical backpack. The backpack was much larger inside than it looked. He raised his hands in the air and forced them down, than he stood infront of Tatiana's house.
Tatiana walked out, more beautiful than he had ever seen her before. An angel delivered from the heavens directly to this man, forgiving him for all of his sins. She looked up at Beowulf and grinned joyfully at him, she quickly ran over and hugged him. Beowulf glanced over her clothes and realized he was still wearing his armor. Tati lightly teased him and the two went back to his place to put on a change of clothes. He neatly tucked his armor into his magical backpack, and they were off.
They rode up beside the water falls inside the peaceful cave in Ilsh. The water trickled from the rocks down into a stream of clean water. Beowulf put the chest on the ground and pulled out the blanket and stools. They ate and joked around a little bit, splashing each other with water, and Tatiana listening to Beowulf sing. He informed Tati that this was all he had, he couldnt give her anything more this night but a rose and his singing.
Tatiana's dove flew in and sat beside them while they laid on the blanket that was just off the water. She read the letter that the dove brought and sighed. She had to quickly run an errand for Star. She rushed off to get the task done before Beowulf got frustrated with having to wait.
Beowulf grinned to himself as Tatiana rode off to Stars house. Raising his arms and forcing them down he appeared in the middle of all the pillars. He looked around, candles had already been placed around in a heart shape. He quickly lit torches and stood two beside each pillar. A dove flew in and dropped on his shoulder. Beowulf quickly rushed off back to his house to get Tatiana.
"Tati dear, I lied to you." Beowulf informed her with a frown on his face. He lifted his arms and casted a blue gate, Tati, who was confused, reluctantly stepped through.
Tati gasped and awed at the beautiful scenery. Wisps flew around and the area was lit by a candles and torches. Beowulf gently placed his hands on her arms and turned her around, he looked her straight in the eye and lowered himself to one knee. Clearing his throat he looked up and Tati, her eyes watered in joy.
"Tati dear...Will you marry me?" Beowulf asked, not quiet sure what her response would be. Tatiana gasped and cried out in joy, hugging and kissing Beowulf. He reached down and held her hand up, he slipped the diamond ring onto her finger and pulled her in tightly. Tatiana grabed his hands and jumped around in a circle happier than ever.
Beowulf stood still watching the love of his life prancing around in joy. Smiling at her every movement and her pure innocents. Tatiana ran up and jumped on him and smiled, looking down at him in his eyes she said.
"Beowulf, have I ever told you how terrific you were? I love you!" she exclaimed. |

Ultima sat in his darkened study. "Perfect, perfect timing." He muttered to himself. Yes, walking into the Garden while Tatiana and Beowulf were discussing their wedding plans was marvellous timing indeed. Funny, almost, how one's existance can seem to crush them at but a few words.
Sighing and pulling on his cloak, he exited his home south of Britain. Smoothing his hair, which glinted in the moonlight. Felucca was full tonight. He began to walk... and continued for quite some time.
"Beowulf asked me to marry him, Ultima. Please be happy for me..." Tatiana's voice rang through his memory, a raven's talons tearing him apart. His nostrils flared. He walked a bit further, noting firelight, voices, and music just ahead. It was a small gathering of gypsies, having some sort of celebration, most of them drunk.
Ultima glanced from one side of the village to the other, counting the people there. Raising his right hand to the sky, he called "Vas Ort Grav!". A dozen bolts of lightning struck some dancers in a circle. Most fell over dead, the rest were very close to it. Ultima made gestures at several others. "Corp Por! Corp Por! Corp Por!" Three more dead. At this point, confusion turned into chaos.
Many tried to run. Ultima smirked and struck them down. He noticed a woman, with red hair, run past him. Eyes glinting, he grabbed her and quickly sunk his teeth into her neck. When he was finished with her, he dropped her to the ground, sending another Chain Lightning to a group huddled close together. He counted the corpses. "Twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four. Hm, one missing." He mused. A shuddering gasp came from the woodpile behind him.
He quickly turned, kicking it over. A small boy stood there, looking up at him. "P-P-P..." The boy stuttered. "Come now." Said Ultima. "Join your family." He chuckled, pointing his hand at the boy, ring finger and pinky folded down. "Corp Por." He smirked, hitting the small boy in the chest. "Twenty-five." He licked some of the boy's blood off of his hand, then strolled to the edge of the encampment.
"In Flam Grav." He gestured, and flames rose. He repeated until the entire camp was up in flames. He watched the corpses char and the tents wither. He brushed off his doublet, and walked back into the woods. "Much better." He mused to himself.
In the morning, only charcoal and ash remained. Two travelers came upon the camp, one bending down to inspect the destruction. "Looks like orcs." He told his partner. |
