The figure lurking in the dark corner of the tavern could be seen to set a flask down upon the table. If one had looked carefully enough a rune encrusted box could be seen being slipped from his pack. Carefully rubbing gloved hands over the surface of the box and opening to slip a book out. Quickly hiding the box back in the pack, the dark figure sits and reads the book with his back to the wall, sliding the book under the table as anyone comes near. Eventually the shrouded man in the shadows drains the flask, replaces the book back in the box. A ancient scroll can be seen to fall to floor before the man can quickly gather it up, place it back in the runed box. He opens a red portal and leaves the tavern with all his belongings as quietly as he came.
