Respect this!

Your relation with the House of the Gauntlet is displeasing. This terrible news has disturbed our Regent, Lord Rufus, out of his meditations and demands the attention of his trusted Ambassador to whom he has appointed the task of maintaining positive relations with you.

This is why I state that your recent proclamation regarding Luna and the House of the Gauntlet casts a dubious light over the agreement we came to last time we spoke. With war on the horizon it is expected that Sanctus remains out of Trammel affairs and maintains the agreement of not giving aide to the Regency’s enemies.
An envoy is being assembled to deal with this concern and we would like to enter your lands under friendly terms to discuss once again your alignment towards the Regency.

First off, Sanctus does not seek anyone’s council in matters regarding to our lands, our vassals, or how we deal with them. As such, the Regencies opinion on the developments around Luna and our relationship with the House of the Gauntlet mean nothing to us.

Secondly, Sanctus does not take kindly to threats. Whether they come from friends, allies, or enemies. Even the half threats contained in your letter are not tolerated.

With that said, assemble your envoy and you will be extended friendly terms to meet with me under. Ensure that a discussion of relations if what your envoy is prepared for. I warn you not to come to Sanctus with threats or demands, it will get you no where.

Ambassador Isk,

My good brother Zarlox covered the main points. However, I do not like your tone. Sanctus does not respond kindly to threats from a paper tiger such as the Regency. Such threats may well drive us into the arms of your enemies.

Come to Sanctus with threats like these, and you should assemble your swords instead of ambassadors.

Never have we seen such disrespect. Our envoy shall no longer come to you as it is evident that you no longer seek positive relations with Lord Rufus and his Regency. In your quest to become lord over Malas you should not make enemies of too many. If your hand is seen in Trammel you will see ours in Malas.

This is a threat!
