Locke waited patiently, relaxed, at the hideout, gingerly holding his kryss between two fingers, and letting it swing back and forth like a pendulum, blood dripping on the floor. The first blood of the first contracted hit. The blood of Ditto Armunn. He noticed himself still wearing the purple sash. Smirking slightly, he tore it off and dropped it in the trash barrel.
The door opened and closed silently, and moments later Dymm appeared in his seat, a smile on his face.
"I dropped the purple garments around Sanctus," Locke said to Dymm, looking pleased with himself.
"Good, good," Dymm said back, returning the pleased smile neither of them could seem to remove off their faces.
After a minuite of silent waiting, The sound of a rather large individual arriving through gate transport could be heard out in front of the hideout. The door opened and Arlin stepped through, taking the seat across the desk from Dymm. Artero appeared moments later, the provider of the gate.
"It done?" Asked Arlin.
"Yes," Dymm said with a pleased look. "There was enough purple on mister Cole and enough purple around Sanctus, they will think it was Trinsic for sure."
"Good," said Arlin with a smile. He tossed a bag of gold across the desk to Dymm, who tossed it to Locke.
After some other chit chat and Arlin's departure, Dymm looked to Artero. "Did you get the... Other thing?" he asked.
Artero nodded and tossed a small bag on the desk. Dymm checked the contents. "Good, that should do it."
In the time Dymm had checked the bag, Locke had paged lazily though the contract book to Ditto's page. "Well then," said Locke with a glance to Dymm. Dymm nodded with a smirk.
"Done," Locke said, as he gingerly pressed the kryss across her name, crossing it out in her own blood. _________________

She lay in the dirt. Her punctured lungs trying to work overtime in getting air to her body, but it wasn't working. There was talking...'Phillip?' Words...no..it was a name. "Martin Willow".
'NO! It's a LIE!' she thought she screamed out loud, but she spoke not a word. There was only silence..silence except for...a heartbeat. Not hers. Faint at first, but then getting louder. She felt it...it was strong. Powerful. Her own heartbeat then slowed to stillness. This other heartbeat seemed to envelope her. She only knew the sensations of warmth & security. 'Was she feeling this way because Tarothin was holding her in her sleep? Was all that happened before, now a forgotten nightmare, and was she safe at home in his arms?' It didn't really matter. Somehow, someway, imaginary or real....all that mattered was that he was with her and nothing else seemed to exist.
There was a pain. A pain like no other before it. The pain was in her soul. It was swift and violent, and pulled her away from him. 'Why didn't he grab onto her? Why did he just let her go?' The other heartbeat faded until it could barely be heard, as it was replaced by the sound of own heartbeat.
Ditto gasped for breath as though taking in air for the first time.
"NO! It's a LIE!", she yelled weakly. But what the lie was, she had forgotten. Trying to remember what the lie was, she heard a sweetly familiar voice.
Cat called her name worriedly. "Ditto?"
Ditto's eyes fluttered open, scanning her surroundings and finding them familiar. She was at the Garden in a room she had nick-named, the Organ Room. And then her gaze focused on her dearest friend, Cat Lyxen.
Galnor Bloodmoon, her mentor, her friend was also in the room. And after many questions and answers by all, she realised that the patriarch had once again saved her with his skillful and swift powerful healings.
A few minutes later, Cat let Revenant into the room. Sir Revenant of the Dark Order was a true and trusted soldier. His concern for her was mirrored in his eyes as he began asking questions to get details of what had happened. But, she could give very little useful information, much to her frustration.
And then her brother, Beldon of the arcane arrived. The questions starting over. Noting her frustration, Beldon reached out and took his little sister's hands in his and urged & guided her gently from the begining of the events to the end.
She was weakened and felt sore, but there were no injuries to be seen or felt. Galnor had worked his magic once again. After a little while she was allowed to go downstairs where Sir Hummer and then Lord Ricky joined them.
It was a bustle of activity all through the night at Poet's Garden, but as things settled down and most of the Garden's patrons had gone, Ditto felt even more at ease, or at least could breath better. Lord Ricky & Sir Beldon left to do some investigating. What a day. One very long day and ending with even more questions than answers. A bottle of Melnibone wine seemed more and more inviting. She would drink now this eve ....just to relax her. Tomorrow should show them more answers. _________________ **************************************
