Spawn continued his search for the Black Dog Captain known as Arlin. The Sheriff searched every city and town in Britannia coming up with only people seeing Arlin. Spawn went back to Blackgard Castle in Sanctus and continued his investingation in his office. On the way to his office, he saw the paladine David speaking to Andreas Dragonbane in the throne room of the castle.

Andreas and the paladine greeted the Sheriff as he approached them. After a few moments of introductions, Andreas told Spawn that David was interested in joining Sanctus. The Sheriff nodded as he looked at David in some confusion.

"Is there something wrong sir?" asked David.

"I'm somewhat confused in why Arlin was trying to kill you..." Spawn said rubbing his chin in thought.

"He was sent to do it" replied the paladine.

"Sent? By whom...?" asked Spawn

"Balbanes sir" replied David.

"Balbanes?" asked the Sheriff.

"Yes he's part of Azeroth sir" David said with a nod.

"Ah... Bailos' so called 'empire'... I must look into this more... Farewell my friends" said Spawn. He then tipped his hat to the men and went to his office. Once in his office, Spawn sat down at his desk and began to ponder about the new information that was brought to him. Everything in this mystery was becoming clear to the Sheriff. He now knew that the Empire of Azeroth was behind the attempted murder of the paladine. But Spawn still had to find the weapon in the crime, the Black Dog Captain Arlin. He knew if he found Arlin, He could find out some more information that could help him in his investingation.
