"Well, what do you see?"

"Another moment, Regent, this thing time takes."

Magda's dark eyes remained fixed on the crystal globe in front of her. "Find him," she whispered. "I command it."

Images suddenly appeared, beginning indistinct and out of focus, as colors coalesced forming identifiable objects within.

"I do not recognize the place," she stated solemnly.

"You have never been there?" Thraxas inquired.

"That I cannot say."

"What can you say?"

"I see no buildings. There is much sand, and hills. It may be desert area, or shore front; I cannot tell which. It is a lonesome place. He is alone. He believes himself quite safe. And he would be... normally."

"That is not much to go on, Priestess. Can you not tell me more?"

Magda shook her head. "I can only tell you what I see. He is cooking food by campfire. Wait! I think I caught a glimpse of an insect... a giant one... only its leg. He went to kill it I suppose. You must hurry as I am tiring. I cannot maintain the vision much longer. Go now... quickly!"

Thraxas departed hastily to send word to his agents, scouts, trackers, informers and assassins to spread the word and begin the hunt. Although he did not have a lot to go on at the moment, the location had been narrowed down a little.

After slaying an annoying enormous insect which had vainly tried to pilfer his meal, Typernion sat down cross-legged at his campfire, slowly turning the roasting bird which was to be his paltry supper. Suddenly he sensed, not quite heard, a low humming sound. He looked about at the hills which towered all around him, wondering what it could be. He felt his body shake for a moment, convulsively, then watched as an orange aura emanated slowly from his flesh... just for seconds... then it vanished as quickly as it had came. He knew something had happened to him... what, he could not tell. He did not need convincing that it was not a good thing. He therefore determined to keep a watchful eye and did not plan to sleep any this night.

(OOC Special Note: I will be IG as Typernion for one hour (at least), 9 pm to 10 pm Eastern tonight. If you wish to participate, please accept, or send, a war invite from/to "Fugitive from Justice" [FGTV]. Thanks and good luck! /OOC)

Dallben's night was exhausting. After traveling the hidden districts of Illshenar, and getting in a deadly fight in the woods with a dragon rider named, maD maX.
He decided to rest. Sadly he fell asleep in a solen hive....

"He could not be found, Priestess. You have failed me," Thraxas charged, glaring at the orcish female. He was in her home so he found enough restraint to keep his wits about him. After all, he did need her... for the moment.

Her brow furrowed. "No promise gave I to you, Regent. Only that find him I could, and I did. No fault of mine is it that your minions could not locate him this time. A large world Sosaria---Lost Lands, Tokuno, Ilshenar, Malas. Lots of places to hide oneself."

"You failed to mention Ten-Mur, land of the gargoyles."

"I failed not to speak of that land, but go there he will not.

"Oh? How so?"

"Magic forbids it. He is denied entrance."

Thraxas thought for a moment. My agents need a bit more information. One of their problems was determining upon which moon, Trammel or Felucca, that he was. Can you say which... when you look next time?"

"Yes. But you must bring the other sacrifices."

"You mean you could have told me, but did not?!"

"Yea."

"Why did you withhold it from me?!!"

"You did not ask which moon. Besides, we do not trust you. Yet to bring the last of the sacrifices to me. Do that, and next time which moon it is I will tell you."

Thraxas fumed. Although knowing which moon the Elf was hiding on would have aided in the search, it alone was no guarantee of finding him. Like she said, Sosaria was a big place. "You will have your sacrifices before our next search."

Magda nodded. "I will be here, waiting, Regent."

Shirale fluttered wildly among the glimmering stones, the tinkling tones of her movement and song added a hypnotizing effect to her attempts at communication. Typernion, frustrated, shook his head. To his amazement, the pixie darted among the gems and arranged them in a pattern that he could, at long last, understand.

"I am being watched?" He inquired somewhat absent-mindedly, staring at the gemstones.

The tiny pixie's head nodded once, her arm raised upward.

"Above? How? Who?"

The swiftly flying pixie hastily rearranged the gemstones on the table.

"Evil eye? ...scrying?"

Shirale flitted wildly up and down in affirmation.

"You can sense it?"

Shirale made a circle with her arms which would, on a larger scale, have encompassed the elf.

"All around me," he guessed. "I have been cursed! I knew something was afoot; I could feel it! Do you know who it is... no, no need to guess!" He realized it was a miracle that he had not been discovered as yet. Perhaps it was sheer luck, or the nature of his current location. He did move about a lot during the day. Sitting cross-legged on the floor, he contemplated his options and his future, which at the moment looked none too bright...

-=&=-

"I think he is aware of us," Magda's admission carried a note of anxiety. "The pixies, no doubt."

Thraxas scowled. "What can be done?"

Magda paused in her observations. "Nothing."

"Can he block your vision?"

"Anything is possible. The sprites have powers unknown to me."

The Regent turned away and began stroking his goatee slowly. If the elf's hideout was within a nest of pixies, any of evil nature would be instantly set upon. An excellent defense... weak, but numerous and implacable allies!

"He is leaving the area."

"Is he mounted?"

"Yes. He rides one of the magical creatures... a Ki-Rin."

Another ally!

"I will remain here until you are certain he has set up camp," Thraxas commented. He left her company to find something strong to drink as he felt certain it would be a long night alone with the smelly orc.

Several seemingly unendurable hours later, Thraxas approached the priestess once more and inquired of her what she saw.

She had been motionless for hours, staring into the (what appeared to him to be) swirling mists of the globe, mumbling incoherent phrases. Besides looking like an ancient, wrinkled, orc-thing, her general appearance might be described as haggard and slovenly.

Where does he find these... creatures?

"The same place you do... bottoms of barrels in dank, dark cellars," she answered his thoughts. "He has built a campfire. We may assume he is planning to rest for the night."

"Among the pixies?"

"Hardly. I see a sea of white, blanketing the ground; hills surrounding."

"What else? Please do not say it is all you see! The lands are covered in such areas."

"Trees. He camps among trees. Pines, not commonly seen around here."

"Can you hear anything? Any creatures or beasts?"

"Besides his Ki-Rin... noth... wait!" She peered more closely.

"The fat, fanged beasts that range along cold wastes."

"Walrus!

"They bellow and waddle nearby."

"Excellent! That narrows things down considerably!"

Magda cackled. "Does it?"

Ignoring her sarcasm, he hurried away to get word to his minions...

but returned quickly, forgetting something important.

She met him in the doorway. "He is not on Felucca; that I can tell you."

Frowning, he exited.
