*an aged raven courier has left a sealed brass mail tube at the entrance of Tarothin Armunn's residence. The scroll within reads as follows:*

My Lord Armunn,

I have been following your exploits for some time now. Even though the Coalition collapsed, I decided to remain as up to date as I could on the activities of House Armunn. I am aware of your operations in Ocllo, necessary to restore order and some semblance of organized rule, and approve wholeheartedly. Whatever actions you have had to take to solidify your control and weed out undesirables, is perfectly understandable. I applaud your firm resolve and steadfast commitment in making that city proud and industrious once more.

Knowing, therefore, that you possess keen business sense, I propose that we begin a relationship between Yew and Ocllo which shall be of benefit to us both economically. You see, I need a large supply of workers who can be paid very low wages, who are expendable (the work is gruelling and deaths commonplace), and who are entirely elvish. (The kind of work requires them to be of that race only, but besides that, I am loathe to place my own kind to work at such menial, and dangerous, labor). For the present, I need two hundred such workers, at least in health enough to reach the coasts of Yew, Trammel, safely. I will pay 500 in gold for each one that you can give me, male or female makes no difference.

If you will but send your reply in this container, placing it outside, my special courier will bring it to me.

If you agree to this, I will send my personal envoy to confirm the sale by contract at your earliest convenience.

I thank you for your time and look forward to hearing from you.

My very best to you and yours. Long may you rule.

Your Servant,
Thraxas
Lord Regent of Yew"

*A servant came in baring the letter*

"My Lord, this had arrived for you at the Arena."

I nodded and took the message, dismissing him after. Reading it while walking the cold halls of the keep towards my study an amused smile crept upon my face.

I sat down to write a return message.

********************************************************
Lord Thraxas,

I would like to offer you the... help you need. There are few Elves to be found in Occlo... looking for work. Though we may lack in elves we do have quite a few humans that would like to pay off their debts for broken laws.

I'll see what I can come up with.

*signed*

Tarothin Armunn
Lord of House Armunn
The Dark Order

***********************************************************
Opens the door to the study to the icy cold wind to call forth the power to transport him to the Arena. After asking the servant if the raven perched outside was the same that had brought the previous message, placed the new message within the container and sent it on it's way.

*Harbinger, Thraxas' personal raven, has delivered the following letter to Lord Tarothin's residence*

"Your Esteemed Excellency,

Tarothin, Lord of Ocllo and the Dark Order,

I pray you remain in good health, you and yours, and that your rule prospers abundantly.

The ship bearing the workers you sent has arrived and is being unloaded even as I write. There were a few losses along the way, but those can be easily replaced. I found them in better condition than I had hoped for, as sea journeys and the usual rebellious nature of elvish folk forces one to be somewhat more harsh than what is optimum for their survival.

I have thoroughly enjoyed our business relationship! By your leave I will be contacting you again in the future, and you may call upon me as well should any need arise. I have access to many goods and services that may be of use to you.

May your rule be steadfast,

Your humble servant,

Thraxas
Lord Regent of Yew"

Tarothin closed the doors to the treasure room after the last chest of gold was placed within. Though it delayed his plans some, and had left Occlo less defended than he wished to round up the numbers, the gold was indeed needed for his campaign.

"This gold will be put to use indeed."
