Horence Asylum, home for the Criminally Insane and Mentally Disturbed.
Dark walls rising above the ground, an asylum of sorts. Inside the inhabitants lived in misery and torture. Some of this from their cruel keepers, some of this from their own twistings of existence. This was a place of lost hopes and stolen dreams, where some were sent innocently to be destroyed at the hands of cruel wardens. Others were sent here for good reason, for the original intended purpose of this place. To keep those of Sosaria safe from some of the worst that roamed.
It is here that Senjin was kept. As mentioned before she was kept at all times in a black bound canvas covering that wrapped her arms around her and rendered her unable to cast upon those that kept her. For long now they had tried to figure out the secrets of this being, this creature they kept and tortured day and night.
Yet she would not bend, it was as if her mind were not within her body as her hollow eyes void of any spark stared out, sleeping long periods of time consuming only what was necessary to survive. It was true, Senjin;'s body was kept here but her mind was held somewhere far away in the thoughts and feelings of another shared across time. For this was the power of Atalan. One moment a mind alone, another moment the minds of many in one.
Asimov, when he spoke they spoke with him, when he moved they were beside him. In everything there was the Bloodroot, and the Bloodroot was in everything. When the Wildfyre summoning struck the land, her mind returned unto its body and lay waiting for her freedom, freedom that rode upon the heels of a horse.

Some of this from their cruel keepers, the owners of this place, some of this from their own twistings of existence. This was a place of lost hopes and stolen dreams, where some were sent innocently to be destroyed at the hands of cruel wardens. Except now, Senjin wore no jacket, she was not bound, she moved and spoke as she pleased. She held the reigns and she was freed, returned to her people for the purpose of exacting the revenge that so long had been coming. The crimes perpetrated upon them so long ago would be reconciled.
She watched in mild curiousity as Ditto stood speaking to the Bloodroot but her eyes kept wandering to the human males that stood within their presence. One of them was making odd noises and drinking from a bottle, the other stood resolutely in his task, while yet another sat quietly saying nothing. Senjin wondered why, someone whose eyes swirled with the dark unknown, had brought such men before them. Was this child so important to her? If so why would she deny a simple signature in exchange for her child's freedom?
She was perplexed and at the same time, hungry. For she could feel the hunger rising within those about her, the lust for battle overtaking the Atalan general, was great. They were tense , en pointe and ready. The ruminations of the Bloodroot as he carefully weighed the exchange the many words that could not be heard by the strangers in the room but were communicating busily within each others minds.
She, this great lady, was afraid of the unknown, and she would not sign. Resolution , definitiive.
His fist was raised the silent command given and felt. Eerie silence filled the room as the magical powers swelled here and then broken as the first reign of cascading fire hit its' first target. She could feel that drowning anger that surged among her clan. There was no stopping them for it was time for humanity's great attonement.
And so, it would be done.... _________________ What Doesn't Kill you Makes you Stronger... |
