Hello to all my fellow ARPC'ers,
Many new people may not know who I am but I run one (or maybe the only now) Drow guild. I had taken off the summer to prepare for this crazy upcoming school year, which is my oldest son's senior year. I wish I could say the stress ended with the summer. Things have gotten worse. My job at the hospital has been getting harder and it's mostly because we have been in a pay freeze for 8 or the 9 years I have been there and it's been hard to raise three children with no monetary child support from my ex. I love being in critical care, probably the best move I made, I no longer cry when I get home from work wondering what did I forget to do or if something I did caused one of the patients to "go bad" (was a medical surgical nurse).
However, work and the children have not been the only thing. Add to the mix my boyfriend of two and half years. Older members may remember Nalimar, my patron and co-GM, he and I were dating long distance since day one (he in Texas and me in Ohio). Well, this past August, he made the jump and moved 95% of his things into my house. The last we needed was a job for him to come home to. Things have been quite heated, lots of arguments and fights. Just when I was ready to toss 2 1/2 yrs away, a job posted in a town 25 min away and within the Lowe's company. More fights and arguments about my interference ultimately ended in an interview and job offer. Great news right??? So I thought.
Last week, I woke with severe chest pain and nausea. Being a nurse, I didn't want to think what I was thinking but we self-diagnose ALL THE TIME. I drove myself to the ER (yes, we nurses are dumb like that ) and was admitted for observation before any EKG or blood work was finished. Thankfully blood work was negative and the stress test was negative. Final diagnosis....stress/anxiety induced angina. Perfect huh, like Christmas ISN'T stress induced enough.
So, now I am trying to take it easy. The man is driving home today and should arrived here tomorrow. First day of work is the 19th. Maybe, JUST MAYBE, my life can settle down enough to finally get my ass in game. I miss you all and I really want to try to bring out the evil of the drow...lol, j/k, but it's time to start causing the chaos that drow are notorious for. One problem being all my allies have poofed and Drayden has been stolen by his RL situation. I am hoping to drag Nali-poo back in since his computer will be next to mine. I know Dhar'zal has been trying to keep the flame going, and I love him for that. So, all ebil people....let's cause some chaos!!!
Lastly, let me wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year. May 2012 bring you much joy, health, and happiness. I hope the upcoming year brings much improvement with the economy so that things may return to normal.
Take care and God Bless....or as Kal'iksix would say..."Goddess Watch Over You".
Sincerely,
Tina
