I am afraid I don't know many who were affected by Irene's wrath, but I did want to pass along one tidbit of information I received this morning. Rosar is not...I repeat -NOT- floating away someplace. He has lost cable and it's unknown when it will be repaired, as their area was hard-hit with power outages which will take precedence. He had been unaccounted-for since before the storm till I heard from him this morning. Downed cable, we can deal with, long as we know he's all right. Smile

Anyone else in the community missing in action?

Tree branch HERE my car HERE tree branch....2 down in my back yard too. Huge limbs of a large oak tree but no damage at all to the house or to the car.

Damage assessment of my neighborhood:
60+ trees down
10+ split telephone poles
75% of the town is out of power until Friday
Trees fell all around the house, but for some reason none actually hit it.

As long as you're not floating down the street on said telephone poles, I'll count that a victory.
