To the High Council of Stonegate,
My father has asked that I write you a letter requesting your business in Umbra. We do allow safe comings and goings in and out of Umbra. Our men have noticed that some of your people seem to walk around Umbra with an agenda. There is strange things going on in this town of ours. Please be careful. We would suggest an armed escort if you proceed through the town. Please send word of your business.
Sincerely,
Wynn
Daughter of Lord Tazar
of the Falling Water Fortress. |

A Large Stoneguardian arrives causing the walls of the sanctus caves to quake.
Merci pauses surprised to see a guardian of their Valley lumbering slowly towards her. Opening one large stone hand he holds out a bone, In the other he offers her a scroll. Puzzled she takes it from him and bows. The guardian turns and marches back on his slow journey to the valley which he protects.
Worried Merci opens the scroll, and her face flushes with anger. She looks from the bone to the scroll then back to the bone. Tempted to throw the insult into the void she pauses and decides that this is a matter for the King.
Mumbling to herself, Whats the bone for? I think they just topped the Ebon Skull in insults... She takes off picking up her skirts in haste to find the King.. _________________ May destiny guide you... |

Wynn,
I fear that you've gravely misinterpreted the situation at hand.
While I understand your father's desire to keep an eye on things in Umbra, the highly insulting nature of your letter makes it clear to me that you either think very highly of yourselves, or are shockingly true to your reputation as nothing more than foolish drunkards.
Before I attempt, and I stress that word, to divulge my purpose in Umbra...allow me first to divulge a few details.
First and foremost, Umbra has a long standing history that has seen many nations come and go... but among the many leaders who have ruled there.. are myself, my council, and my mother before me.
I am an ab'Arawn, and I've very proudly spent a great deal of my life shedding my blood as well as the blood of others over Umbran land.
While you walked into the land quite freely, I earned my place there waging war against the likes of the Order of the Ebon Skull as well as the Order of Sanctus.
I would also point out that when my time there was done - I stepped out - by my choice. No one forced me out.
Forgive me for not seeking your father's permission, but it seems clear to me that I and my family are much more entitled to walk this land than you.
Now, as to the 'agenda' that my people seem to be walking about Umbra with...perhaps it is to walk.
We have quite literally Marched from outside Umbra city to the Umbran/Sanctan border. I assure you there was no questionable intent in the stretching of our legs.
If it does seem that we were up to more than that, than lets assume that perhaps we were investigating some of the strange things going on that the current Lord of Umbra has apparently failed to properly address.
Wynn, I do appreciate your concern, but as illustrated above my people are quite capable of taking care of themselves.
Lastly, dogs chew bones. We are lycans, hybrid beings with the blood of the wolf running through our veins.
My enemies refer to us as dogs.
My thanks for your letter.
-Myrddin ab'Arawn

*Notices a piece of parchment on the desk and turns it over to continue plans for the rebuilding of the fortress while ignoring the letter since the Fortress is more important than the petty affairs of others* _________________
