Quinn hurries forward with a note from Merci to Ashencrosse.


To those whom greet my Messenger:

I know at one time the Lady Eclyse traveled to your fold. I hope to see her soon and wish her well. However my note is not that of greetings. Some members of my clan, and myself, are currently traveling through Umbra, our once beloved homeland.

Upon our travels we have noticed an odd growth of strange green crystals. My messenger has one in her posession. Be wary of it, as we are unsure its intent. It seem's somewhat poisonous. I ask that if you have any among you that are familiar with poisonous objects, ect, that we gain your help in figuring out what this Crystal is.

Also at some point, Stonegate would like to stop in Ashencrosse and meet with your leaders.

Madame D’Rue,

I respond in haste and with great consternation to the request which was delivered this evening past by Quinn Morgan to Ashencrosse. I have turned the crystal over to two minds with diverse fields of study which might allow cross-referencing and multiple pathways of study to determine the origin and implications of the crystal’s qualities.

Our resident physician, Rosar Ashande, will assist the root worker and alchemist Ayana Willowsong of our native clan of wanderers in examining the crystal, in an attempt to assess the dangers and origins of this mysterious phenomenon.

As Lady Quinn stayed on last eve, she did mention that she would return to her own clan, which is traveling through Umbra. If this is true, I offer you and your clan both food and rest within the walls of our fortress, should it be desired.

As to your inquiry in regard to Lady Eclyse, I regret to inform you that she has departed from Ashencrosse for parts unknown, without word as to when or if she will return. It is our sincerest hope that she remains safe and well.

Please take care to protect yourselves from the wilds of Umbra, as well as the noxious dangers posed by the crystals you have already encountered. Until our next communication, I will remain…

A message is sent via Quinn Morgan, along with a basket of fresh fruits, smoked meats, and freshly baked breads, and bottles of house wine.

Esteemed Lady Oracle,

Upon research and further investigation, theories have been presented by our researchers in regard to the phenomenon earlier referenced. However, questions remain that could further assist the forming of hypotheses, if answered.

Our theatre will be open for an evening of revelry and merriment tonight, and you are most welcome to join us, if you wish. Perhaps then we could also find time to reference the quandaries previously mentioned. There is food and rest here for the weary.

P.S. - As Lady Abella expressed some minor concern over the method by which this gift is being delivered, a simple ward has been cast upon the basket which will render the entire gift a brilliant green hue if the contents have been tampered with, contaminated, or compromised.

Countess of Ashencrosse, Lady Bretane,

My thanks for your hospitality, Representatives from Stonegate, Shall be in attendance this eve, at which time we can discuss this matter further.

Also Please note: We must regretably turn down your generous offer to stay in Ashencrosse for any period longer than a few hours time, as these crystals seem to grow wherever we spend more than 24 hours time. I would not wish to bring these items in great numbers into your lands due to their mild toxicity.

I will see you this eve, Let us hope I can convince the King to attend your festivities as well, for I think a bit of a laugh would do him well.

P. S. this wolf is young and bears you no harm, if you would give it a bit of nourishment before its return I would appreciate it. Also, thankyou for your cautious fore-sight with the baskets. I would say that Quinn means well and is quite worthy of trust except when it comes to my health....
