I'm trying to get myself active and immersed in game again, and I am finding a regular problem.

Unless it's a dated and timed event, people don't appear to actually be in game. I've spent the last few days logged in 3-4 hours running around on runebooks I've made over the years of homes and hangouts of the community, and have yet to see anyone. Am I missing something? Are we doing our RP out of the game except for guild meetings and tavern nights?

Now I admit its a big world, and I can't be everywhere at once, but I when doing rounds, I make it a point to drop by the guild controlled areas and player towns multiple times. I stop by all of the taverns on the rotation list as well as all of the guuild halls that I have runes for,

My suggestion, pull up a random person's ICQ (doesn't have to be a friend or even anyone you know) Send a message, set up a meeting place. The RP might not go down that night, but certainly that week.

I mean this is how we "meet" our new players to get them started out isn't it? I don't see a reason as to why players cannot contact other players already in the community. There's also the RP chat channel IG but that's a little harder as people are not always able to answer (I know I have had to pass up a few "where's the RP tonight" due to being busy myself)

The RP sessions might take off with a bang, or they might fizzle, but at least it happened.

What we're dealing with at the moment is a phenomenon called summer, where a bright gold ball in the sky beckons hermits out of their hovels and away from their computers. But it's not impossible. Lots of people just don't seem to log on unless they've got someone else to play with. Shoot an icq out and see where it goes!

We are still around every evening, and generally in ARPC chat (though we often are too busy to read/respond). Since things slowed down so much with RP over the summer, we've been doing more PVM, Training, and misc. stuff (fishing anyone?).
