This year July 4th happens to fall on a Monday, Our normal tavern night.

Just for that week, I would like to reschedule our Normal Tavern night to July 3rd (sunday) or July 5th (tuesday) Please let me know which would work better for you RPers out there!

Thanks!
Merci

Given a 3 day weekend, it is a good opportunity for a little traveling and Sunday would break that up. My guess is that Tuesday would be better for most people, but it does not matter to me.

I'd say skip altogether, my tavern night was on Memorial Day and granted people showed up, July 4th tends to be longer than a three or four day celebration. Personally, the holidays should considered in the rotation and observed by not having tavern night, just my opinion. For me, I work every other holiday and the ones I am off I usually have my children. Memorial Day this year was a freak accident where a error on the hospital gave me it off but the ex had the kids so I was home by myself. Having tavern night on a holiday, in my opinion, goes against the cardinal rule of RP- "Real life comes first". If I wasn't hosting, I would not be logging in.

In the past, I went ahead and ran my tavern night anyway if it was on a holiday- simply for the fact that it gave people who had no IRL plans something to do. Usually, these would be themed based on the holiday ( like the valentine's tavern night this year ). 4th of July is a little harder to make work Wink in Britannia. But then again, I have a Canadian GM, who doesn't celebrate our holidays.

I'm fine with skipping it, just thought I would offer an opposing viewpoint.

If we hold it I vote Tuesday. That way, I agree, it doesn't break up the travelers heading out of down for the holiday.

It's fine. One of the reasons why I stated "in my opinion", lol. I mean it's just my opinion and someone else may be thinking the same but too afraid to say/post it.
