So would anyone be interested in doing the Night on the Town Wednesdays? We can all choose a city and we can say it’s from 6pm eastern to 10 pm eastern to allow people to come into the city at a time where it would be good for them. I can make up tables and we could set them up at a certain area if people would like to sit and chat, and we can rp all over town. It would be like a tavern night but more spacious and we can all decide which town would be rp friendly. I just thought this would be a neat idea to get more people to see us RP, and maybe get others on the outside looking in interested in RP. I think having a city that we can call our own as a community would be nice. I don't want to lose my lands or rp I do on them with my guild, but this would get more interaction and maybe set up for more rp with other guilds you might not have been able to do before. I just think Chat, and Ventrillo ruins the fun of something spontaneous and it would be interesting to go to this town, and not know what to expect. Just an idea but does anyone else see this as a good thing or no?

I believe several guilds hold their meetings on Wednesday nights. Stonegate, for one.

we could do it on a night that would suit the community, Wednesday was just an example Smile Plus this has a 4 hour window so people can come to it when it suits them best.

It never does for me. I really don't understand this, but everyone is different, I guess.

One or two neutral areas would suffice. When I started really rp'ing, the main spot was Poets. You could go there, good or evil, and be accepted without issue. Good mixed with evil; enemies and friends alike mixed as well. You would see the other side and be cautious, but that was about it. I remember even Hanses being used, where OES would ride in, and all the guards would be on guard, but get to watch Talon and a necromancer sit and debate over virtues and necromancy. Fights would break out, but it was all done for fun. (kinda hard to avoid fights. Laughing )

I'm not recommending the Hanses idea, because it had its place. However, one neutral tavern, not city, tavern, where you can go to, see if someone is there or wait for someone to appear, would be perfect. Nothing planned as far as day, just a common, hey, go here spot. You never know who you'll meet, where the rp will go, and how your character will be affected.

We already have Tavern Nights on Monday, I thought it was a neutral setting and all could come but I could be wrong.

Tavern night is great, but it's very specific and scheduled. However, this is more of everyday, not an event planned weekly. We shouldn't be looking at confining ourselves to only mingle on Mondays or events. Also, no, I'm not saying we should always sit in a tavern and rp. Razz However, a place where I can go alone without worry, and find rp. All the people looking for rp and not finding it is because we all go to our own tavern on random no event nights. A neutral place would help people meet, help rp'ers who are just trying to find rp, and be a spot to go to just for random, non guild rp.

It'd also take everyone working together to tell others, hey, here's (I'm gonna use Poets.) When bored, see this place? It's great to meet others. That's how I went to Poets the first time and having rp'ers there kept me coming back.
