Lars takes out an empty ink well, a sharpened quill, and an ornate Dagger. He removes the glove from his left hand, and unceremoniously slices his palm. As the bright red liquid begins to flow, he turns his hand over and allows the blood to accumulate in the well. Not missing a beat, He dips the quill in the blood and writes backward, looking into a mirror hung above the desk:

Dear General,

As you may have heard, I am on a mission to find the elf called Maverick, this is true but only half of it. In point of fact, I do not believe him missing, but rather in hiding and secretly conspiring with his brother Davis to raise an elvish army with which to attack the few remaining humans left in Magincia. That is why I lied to Davis to make him believe that I would help him "find" his lost brother. I have not gone to retrieve him, but to kill him. I have tracked him to the IIshenar facet, and believe he may be fool enough to show himself at the nuptuals of Wynn and Silent Poet. It is there that I shall make my move against him. I hope that I may count on my other Humanis to finish the job should this attempt fail, HE MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO LIVE! If you doubt my varacity, see how I have written this in mine own blood! I do not take my oath lightly.

Your Servant,

LC

Lars rolls up the note and fastens it to the foot of an owl, whispering to General Cuthbert with you! Swift and silent!
