"Stupid Old Lady!" The bitter words were spewed forth quietly as Emily appraised her sister. This earned an immediate smack on the back of the head from her older brother. "Hey!" A pout formed around her tiny lips and she glared at him. Her red eyes boring holes into his skin if they could.

"Watch your mouth."

She was tempted to tell him, make me but thought better of it.

She is a stupid old lady, she thought. Ko was dressed differently and there was something more... adult about her. Emily didn't like it one bit. Tightly she held onto Ko's hand all evening. Thoryne, her new friend and partner in crime as it were, flanking her other side.

Ichiro was missing it! They had already procured a vial of the poison/green sludge from the first floor of the W.I.T. building and there would be more to follow. Cautiously she had showed her sister the tube. As the evening progressed it looked like that bratty pixie might be the first to get it, instead of the Old Lady, but she wasn't sure yet. The Old Lady really had it comin'.

Sometime after Thoryne had argued with her sister she had vanished without a trace. So 'Ko and Emily, hand in hand, had made their way into the tavern. This was followed by Iris, Jade, and the bratty pixie.

A half hour later, two friends and a frenemey, and her Older Brother's boring lecture on getting along, 'Ko had vanished. She'd heard Iris talking about Daddy's leaving and couldn't help but think of Bishimi's leaving. She wondered if all Stonegate Father's were going to leave. It seemed to be a running theme. And by the tone of the lady who came in just as Willow was explaining, it seemed like maybe her older brother knew about the Stonegate Daddy curse.

Shifting back into snake form she slithered out and up in search of her sister.

Rowan's eyes narrowed at the snake kid. She hated snakes. They were the worst thing ever, and she knew all about worst things. Still, she was fine with her, for now. Uncle Korin told her that she was his sister, but Rowan knew without a doubt, she wasn't! She didn't have a snake for an aunt. Someone was lying.

She enjoyed the lesson, though Thoryne started to think she was weird. She didn't understand why. She loved the smell of pine and ocean and meeting everyone. However, that snake thought it was weird when she was offering her up for a sacrifice. Everyone knew people ran from snakes, or killed them. Yet, somehow she got in trouble for that.

When they got back, the snake was being even more mean, saying Korin was her brother. Nuh uh! She started yelling and Korin kept agreeing. Then she called Gamma Merci Mommy Oracle and that made her madder than she'd ever been. Even madder when the bear tried to eat her and took her honey instead. (She got that mean bear back though. He had to wear a patch for a reason!) If the snake was her aunt her mommy might tell her to obey it, and she didn't obey snakes! She stabbed them in the eye! Then Jade said that mommy wasn't going to get her anything ever again. So she told her that she'd ask daddy. That kept her quiet.

Then Iris started talking about missing daddies and everyone got sad, and even Jade said her daddy was gone. That was silly because of course he wasn't gone; he was at home with mommy. She looked at the Snake again as it slithered away. There was only one recourse. (She was so happy to be able to use that word) She'd have to make a death clare ation and tell her people to keep an eye out for the snake.
