With the coming days life was beginning to take its toll, I felt at home with the numerous trainings. My blades were finally able to be of some use other then the occasional carving on tavern night furniture. A blade came swinging down towards me, rolling to the left catching myself a bit off balance.
Focus I thought to myself as a began the excercise again. With each attempt at the exercise I improved a little each time.........



That afternoon I made my way to the bank to check on my box i had left there earlier, I saw her peek around the corner. I reconized her as Chinatsu we said greetings and spoke for a moment before she took her leave and headed back home. I rearranged a few more items. my mind began to wander again, i dont know why but it did that quite often lately, asking the banker to store my box for a bit longer i decided to take a walk.



walking around zento often let me relax, I wandered the outskirts of town following the road like i did many times before without even relizing it i was standing on Ni-chans porch, i knew thats where chinatsu said she staying and i wanted to visit with her. not sure why i enjoyed spending time with her maybe it was he kind spirit or the fact that i knew her brother, i just knew that when i was around her my mind seemed to wander less. After sharing some tea she reminded me of the promise of a guided tour so i led on to many of my favorite places around makato-jima. The tour ended with a picnic, the food was a welcomed addition to a already peacefull and relaxing day.



The following day i felt refreshed and continued on with my workouts upon returning to my room at the inn i found a small bento box with a note attached to it. i unfolded the note and it read
"thought you might be hungry" i smiled as i layed the note down on the dresser. i opened the box and sat down thinking to myself........food is always a good thing.
