Last Monday Molly was diagnosed with pneumonia. Her doctor gave her meds, but she wasn’t getting any better. Yesterday she finally went in to the emergency room and was admitted. She’s finally improving but it wasn’t just the virus that had caused her all the trouble. She asked me to put this on the boards since she couldn’t do it herself. She can read the boards on her cellphone she just can’t write on them with it.

Hello all,
I saw the lung man. He said what he saw on both x-rays was early emphysema mild to moderate. So when I caught this virus I couldn’t fight it.
The meds sent my sugar through the roof, so I will be her for 4 to 5 days on IV meds and multiple insulin shots. A balancing act to regain my lung function. I am also starting chantax again here so when I leave I should be able to stay quit.
This won’t repair the damage but I won’t lose anymore function. Smoking, working in printing for all those years I was primed for this.

She is finally getting better and hopefully will be home by this weekend if all goes well.

I am glad you are putting this up for everyone to see, Will. I was kind of worried that you wouldn't.

Molly, listen to me, woman. Don't you ever wait so damn long to check into the hospital again, ok? You do what those doctors tell you, the first time. If you haven't, then quit smoking. I realize I am nagging, but my father passed away over a decade ago from a situation eerily similar to what you are dealing with.

Now, for something positive.

Hang in there, gal, hospital food has gotten better (so have their TV channels) If you're a good girl, you will maybe get some ice cream when you get out.

You are on our minds. Take the time to relax. Hope your recovery is smooth and swift and you are back on your feet, soon.

It's a shame that this is the first I hear about Molly when I come back after my (very) extended absence. If anyone talks to her please tell her my thoughts are with her and that she NEEDS to take care of herself! If she isn't around to RP with when I come back, who am I going to continuously kidnap?? (old joke for the old RPers).

Rest, listen to the docs and keep away from the cancer sticks. Emphysema is not something to be taken lightly.

Please tell her to get better. And yes, Do what the docs say. This is not something to take lightly. It turns deadly quickly.

UPDATE;

Tonight when i walked in she started doing jumping jacks to show me something. (thinking wtf)
She's been taken off the iv's, kinda. they hook her up for her meds tho.
There letting her out of the room now as long as she has her silver puppy tagging along. (portable air)
She's doing alot better.

We had wondered where Molly was. I will pray for a speedy recovery and you take care of yourself Molly and listen to the doctors. Look forward to seeing back on your feet soon.

She still nags, but the good thing is i'm nagging back and she's finally listening to me, i think
next time i'll just use a baseball bat.

she's getting better. they want to do some tests on her to make sure she can control her sugar.
if all goes well she will be comeing home sometime saturday.

they've been re-educateing her about her diabetes, learning how to eat, etc. too.

I wish her speedy recovery and a good luck on the smoking. I have never smoked but my Dad does and he says it is one the hardest things to do is quit.

UPDATE:

Its confirmed she's coming home tomorrow(sat). they did some test(s) she has ashma not emphsema.
she was givin a clean bill of health on that. She'll still have to be careful tho.

Been getting the place ready for her, so she can walk in the door. She probly will have to take it easy for a few days
till she's up and running fully, but she's comeing home. Very Happy
