Last minute preparations and paperwork littered the desk of the Viceroy of Bucs Den. She mentally checked and rechecked all of the outgoing and incoming costs. If everything went according to plan, the victory they tasted in battle would be tasted this night also. She shifted her gaze to the dress hanging on the door of her office. It was gorgeous and she would wear it proudly. Perhaps the one who'd sent it would make himself known? The thought swirled and tumbled through her insides.

Catering had been taken care of, auctioned parties lined up, monsters lined up, dice, games and tables set.

Place Your Bets, was going to be a night to remember.

Kaylor reined his steed at the edge of the stream, the forest's sounds and scents enveloping him in a swirl of chaotic serenity. It wasn't dissimilar from his life at the moment - a pleasant convolution of passions taking him from love's rapturous enchantments to the ambiguity of a highwayman's vows. It was a joyful freedom he was about to allow auctioned away for 48 hrs.

A soft smile danced over his countenance as he dismounted and began loosening the buckles holding his tunic in place. He would bathe alone this day, but his next bath promised a far different circumstance.
