Alaundril left this letter discreetly at the recently acquired property on the island.

Boss,
I have spent the last few weeks spreading the shadow around "The Den". A few other ships arrived the other day. One with your Chancellor and his Captain hireling. They brought several others with them that I did not recognize on several other occasions. They have done well at keeping the local ruffians at bay but I still find some isolated groups with weaponry and a bit of skill. Nothing that can't be silenced quickly I assure you. The humorous part of the entire ordeal, is that while I have had to kill quite a few of the local theives, a large number of people are thanking us for providing them same safety. The threat in the city at this point is a nuisance at best.
With every day there come new ships. The death toll is well within what we have considered..."reasonable"though and soon those who come through here will know the new order of The Den. The ships we have managed to gather have been ferrying supplies in and soon our second phase will be ready to begin within the next few days as our hold over the island is tied up. For now, our kind have been taking to the caves in the daylight. We must discuss more of this soon, I will see you at the aforementioned venue.
