Yeah, no doubt. We give credit info to these companies with the expectation that we will be charged accordingly. But also, you'd think there'd be something in place at the banks to prevent something from charging redundant charges over and over. |

I mean from an automated standpoint, you'd think whatever software banks use to deal with electronic purchases would have some sort of safeguard against the same purchase being charged several times in a row in the span of under a second. Sucks for the people who were hit by it, there should be safeguards in place in case of terrible billing software. A lot goes on behind the scenes that we don't really think about and just take for granted, I'm glad there aren't more huge problems.
But then, the Internet is still fairly new, I'm sure a lot of this has only really come up over the last 10 years. Over time, it will probably improve a lot. |
