|
Tari woke up with a yawn and sat up to stretch her wings. Last evening's Tavern Night had been turned out to be a good time after all, and she was feeling the after effects of way too much drink. As Tari started getting dressed, she remembered that there was one thing she didn't do last night that she meant to. Slipping on the last of her armor, she went downstairs, opened a book and began to write.
Quote: | Lord Hurst,
I hope this note finds you in good health. I made mention last night about wanting to talk to you about healing. While helping Barra and the rest of Blackmarsh defeat Dreadhorn, I believe I stumbled upon my calling as a healer. I'd like to discuss with you the possibility of becoming an official Battle Medic (should such a title exist in Blackmarsh). I'll be out on rounds today and training as usual, so sending a note back to the Jail would probably be the best way of contacting me. I'm sure either Dale or Vincent would be happy to hold any correspondence until I return.

Tari used one of her talons to carefully cut the paper from the book. After rolling it up and tying a thin leather strap around it, she left the Jail to find a local gypsy to deliver the message. |

"Lord Hurst, a letter for you."
"Hm? Give that to me."
"Yes, Lord Hurst." The unhappy man dressed in a cow suit handed over the letter. "M'lord, how long do I have to wear this?"
"Another few days. Hell maybe even during the festival. Teach you to break the law again, eh?"
"Yes, Lord Hurst." A small tear dripped from the man's eye as he turned around and left. Chuckling at the man, Hurst then penned a response.
Quote: | Tari,
I am all for a battle-medic role being played in your favor, if you wish to specialize in such a field. The title, however, would be unofficial, and you would retain your rank of Soldier until you further progress. It does, however, make me happy to see that you are taking an active part in the Blackmarsh Military, as well as improvising and finding a niche for yourself.
Good work, Tari. Keep it up and you'll reach another rung of the ladder.
Lord Hurst |

Tari swung open the front door of the Jail and stepped in. She plopped down on the sofa, quite tired from the afternoon full of training, killing, and killing more. Brigands seemed endless these days. One of the jail guards tapped his bardiche on the floor to get her attention. He held out a note as Tari approached with a grin on his face.
"Lovely, a letter," she said "Was this delivered by a man dressed as a cow?" The guard's smile broadened. Tari read the note, nodded, and took it upstairs to store. No need for a response she thought with a grin. Just need to act. |
